Yunhi – Na na kartay kartay Kim ko pyaar ho hi gaya…
A huge shout out to the director Muhammed Ehteshamuddin for beautiful, heart-winning, and romantic scene in Yunhi. It was intimately suggestive but never crossed a line that would make you uncomfortable watching it or compromise the feel of the scene.
Finally, Kim Professes Her Love!
Finally, the moment we had all been waiting for, when Kim would finally admit her love and say it out loud to Dawood also. Absolutely loved how the whole scene was executed. It started with Kim giving him hints, and her eyes were talking but Dawood despite sensing it plays it safe and only says how he wishes she had fallen in love with her.
Dada Changes His Perspective
It is indeed heart-winning to see how the script shows Dada changing his perspective without compromising Dada’s integrity or embarrassing him for his previous decisions.
Making Us Think Harder
Iqbal’s conversation with Kim reflects the reality of our society. How a girl’s refusal or her expressing her viewpoint is thought of as disobedience and many times behayai. It is impressive how Yunhi is making you think harder about such ideas without being preachy, the whole concept is just beautifully interweaved into Iqbal’s story. Also tackling the age-old tradition of not marrying girls outside the family even at the cost of making them sit at home all their life.
Finally, the family might start seeing Zulfi in a different light and realize they were being judgmental about him. To see him as a person beyond money and his status.
Showcasing Positive Relationships
Again, a shout out to the drama for showing positive relationships, like Razia and Iqbal. Finally, Dada Jaan gave Razia the importance and respect she deserved. And Razia was over the moon. The pride and joy of Dada listening to her was evident in her conversation with Iqbal.
Daniyal is still angry and bitter. But we are hopeful that Dawood’s positive behavior and patience will eventually change him.
