Ghisi Piti Mohabbat: Delivering Social messages with a punch and telling us why humor can make a point when all else fails!
Ghisi Piti Mohabbat is the drama that defined what social messages can look like when packaged in humor, crisp dialogue, real performances & devoid of any pretentions – the script delivered a raw, street-like feel which is what made it so relatable to the awam – a classic trademark of writer Fasih Bari Khan who doesn’t mince words with his pen.
If you haven’t watched yet, you were probably sleeping under a rock, and a pretty big one, so snap out of the hibernation y’all and get watching!
The journey of GPM ends with many refreshing, essential & heartwarming messages.
The social messages were not new, but the narration was. Some likened it to a black comedy, others felt it was plain comic relief on prime time TV, yet others found it borderline offensive, but GPM proved that social issues can be presented in original stories and reach out to impact audiences who felt that they had heard & seen it all …but not quite!
It is okay for daughters to support their parents, girls must find their own path, love & marriage should not stop them, relationships must be supportive, not restrictive
We applaud the entire team for bringing such a positive & uplifting project to audiences. A Shout Out to Director Ahmed Bhatti who never let the plot or story slip from his hands; we didn’t want to miss a single episode.
Writer Fasih Bari proves once again that his pen holds the power to impact minds & communicate critical messages with engaging scripts.
Here we pay tribute to the super performances that made the project a super hit amongst drama audiences!
Ramsha Khan ruled the screen throughout all episodes – Samiya will always be lauded as one of her best performances.
Ali Abbas as Basharat, won hearts with a natural & captivating performance. We laughed at (& with) Basharat, we despised him too, as we rode the journey with Samiya.
Wahaj Ali as Riz played the character with conviction. His portrayal of Riz’s arrogance & self obsession was on point. Despite the fact that he left us early in the story, his presence lurked throughout, noticeable in its absence – such was the charm of Riz!
Special mention for Saba Faisal as Samiya’s mother, who took us on a poignant journey that showed a parents’ point of view & the dilemmas of a wife & mother.
Another special mention for Tashi a.k.a Areesha Akbar who redefined what young girls can achieve if we don’t cage them in preset expectations. A big thumbs up for this young actress who blew us away! Looking forward to seeing her in more mind-blowing characters onscreen!
Saba Hamid delivered a flawlessly witty performance as a toxic mother in-law – heavily charged, yet comical. Her unfiltered dialogues layered deeper messages, if one were to look beyond the humor.
Saife Hassan as Naheed in a ground breaking role, was a sparkling diamond in a story full of precious gems. He brought a smile, a chuckle, a laugh amidst audience sympathies.
Shahood Alvi & Arjumand Rahim delivered a spirited spin on the thurkee uncle & opportunistic aunty story – both characters hit it out of the park with credible performances!
Well done GPM…now take a bow!

I love this serial, really unique story and we want more this kinda stories pleaseeeee.. Really appreciated work. I love the empowered of a girl. Everyone’s acting superbly performed.. We miss this too much
