While Winters are all about coffee and hot chocolate, warm soups make it to the menu as the ultimate comfort food – esp. Chicken Corn – a desi favourite! Lekin, ‘Soup ke bagair sardi ka maza hi kya?’ Whether you need a pick-me-up after work or enjoy watching your favourite show on Netflix late night, sardion ka maza dobala for sure with the essence & flavoursome goodness of ginger & garlic made tangy with a hit of fresh, juicy tomatoes – Now you’re talking!
Ingredients for 2 servings of Ginger Soup
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 2 red chillies
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- salt as required
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoon corn flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- powdered black pepper as required
Make It Tonight
Step 1: Grade the ginger & mince the garlic cloves… Oh don’t forget to crush the red chillies too!
Step 2: In a pan, melt some butter and add crushed chillies, ginger and garlic and sauté for a minute!
Step3 : Add cornflour in the same pan and sauté some more to coat the veggies.
Step 4: Add water & tomatoes puree. Mix’em up and simmer the soup for a few mins.
Step 5: Once it’s ready, season it with some salt & pepper, garnish the herb of your choice on it.
