Yes folks, that was a double episode of Habs and boy, did we love it! Catch the tweets here.

Habs has a poetic feel to it. Slow, calm with the on time dramatic timing. We’ve grown fond of Ayesha and Basit (even though we’re still trying to understand him). This double episode showed us layers to Basit’s character – loneliness, anger, contentment, all in all he’s beautifully flawed. Feroze Khan and Ushna Shah nailed it too!
What Made This Week’s Episode Special?
In the scene where Ayesha finds Basit’s letters and drawings addressed to his mother, and the realization of the pain and loneliness he feels. Yet, she understands deep down like everyone else that Basit has a soft spot for his mother. Maybe the reality was a bit bitter for him.
In an instance we were like what’s he doing when he’s a no-show at the dinner hosted by Fahad. What if that was Basit in Ayesha’s shoes, how would he have felt? We’re just wondering.
Basit was a night in shining armour when he showed up at Ayesha’s house in front of Zoya’s (now not to be in-laws, sorry for the spoiler), and called out the demand for jahez. That’s a lesson for the society overall as well. Kuddos to Mussadiq Malik for highlighting this social issue.
Oh Ayesha, we feel for you. The mehroomi and loneliness you feel, trying to understand Basit and his ways, it’s not easy. Trying to support your family isn’t a piece of cake either.
Favourite Moment
Nothing can beat the last scene. We see Basit calmer and cooler, in a good mood and the conversation just has our hearts. (PS, Basit why oh why did you raise your hand?)
With an amazing 90 minutes, Habs did it for the audience and they took it to Twitter. Here’s what they had to say:
Twitter Reactions
‘Once upon a time. His pure smile, hidden innocence which nobody sees, Sadia expects him to normalize her importance in his life, but she doesn’t realize that how much hurt and bitterness she’s gifted him as his inheritance. ‘Mom .. why don’t you come back?’
‘This bit was…just top notch from Feroze.’
‘Okay, Ushna Shah and Feroze Khan are ridiculously beautiful together. And of course, they’re both great actors too. So invested in Basit and Aisha’s relationship. Habs is perfect.’
‘basit’s cute pretend offensive face when she called him a “musibaat”‘
‘Only if zoya would realize that Basit is trying to fight for HER dignity. A man who loves you can’t ask for dowry, someday you’ll realize it and hug your brother in law. I swear, I loved this scene, he truly is becoming the MAN, this poor family needed.’
‘Look at his face when they said Kareem will be off-duty for a while..😭 I hope they never take Kareem away from Basit. I mean what would he do without him…’
‘Thank You God , Finally he smiles’
‘Habs proving to be such a realistic, convincing & fresh story/drama which we haven’t seen from such a long time now, raw performances, flawed yet relatable good characters with subtle execution! ITS A WINNER!!!’
‘they’re going to be “girl likes boy but boy falls harder” and im here for it’
Did you enjoy this week’s episode? Also how cute do Ushna Shah and Feroze Khan look together… and the chemistry!
We can’t wait for next week’s episode. What about you?
