Habs has something about it that just pulls you in & you end up enjoying the episode. Feroze Khan is just winning hearts with a great performance. The drama also strikes a beautiful balance in highlighting messages and issues faced by women.

Was Soha’s Anger Justified?
Can we blame Soha for reacting angrily towards Basit? Manipulating a girl’s decision by involving her parents is a definite no. Though we do not agree with how Soha took decisions without involving Basit in the previous episode & might have reacted too impulsively (and in extreme) by returning the ring, Basit is also not coming clean with her (as to his reasons for marriage).
Soha’s character however raises concerns for us – are we stereotyping independent women to be rude, unreasonable, and a bit selfish, although her concerns were valid for delaying the marriage with Basit. Could the character have been handled more subtly, without showing her to be unreasonable yet preserving her independence?
Great message from Basit’s character for upholding better work practices when he asked Ayesha to leave at 7 pm. His mindful interaction with Ayesha is also setting good examples of how to deal with female employees.
Note Of Appreciation For The Director
Habs’ treatment of the script is very interesting. Hats off to Mussadik Malik for playing with our emotions. We know Ayesha and Basit will marry. He brings us close to that point where we think, “Oh, Basit will ask her to marry him.” But it doesn’t happen. He is teasing the audiences and keeping them fully invested in the story.
Interesting how Ayesha doesn’t take the money in the car, (and a well placed plot there by the makers) depicting the strength of her character to Basit.
Should Basit Blame His Mother?
Is Basit justified in blaming his mother entirely as it was really his father who didn’t let her take Basit along?
On the other hand, how selfish can Bano’s mother be? Especially when she tries to spin it all on Talal’s weakness in character & his inability to stand up to his mother.
Do you think she is right?
