Kinda ironic how we just want to look like the food we eat – The latte eye makeup, the vanilla chrome nails and now even a strawberry inspired makeup look. All our make up, lifestyle, health, fashion inspirations seem to now come through TikTok! Though this one is courtesy of super model and beauty mogul, Hailey Bieber. The Rhode beauty founder, uploaded a tutorial on how she achieved her glowy, fruity inspired make up look. Fans were “Influenced” and her make up look turned into the “strawberry girl makeup” trend receiving a whopping 23 million views on TikTok.
The make up look is all about fluttery long lashes, sun-kissed skin and a pop (or an overdose) of berry pink blush. It’s also perfect for those who want a no make up, make up look with flushed cheeks, reminiscent of the natural post beach flushed look. If you are a blush lover, then this makeup trend is SO YOU! Even though, we are transitioning into fall, the trend on social media doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. Surely, a fall trend in the making?

You probably got the hint from the trend’s name, its all about the pink and red hues of a strawberry. It is also dewy, minimal yet heavy on the blush.
1. Skin Prep
In her tutorial, Hailey Bieber, starts off with her skin prep, she uses her Rhode beauty glazing milk and the Peptide glazing fluid – if you don’t have that just follow up your moisturiser with an illuminating primer or a matte one, if you prefer a matte look.
2. Brows & Bronzer
She next brushes up her brows with brow gel for a feathery brow look, moving onto her cheeks and temples with a swipe of a bronzy glow with a cream bronzer.
3. Concealing
She then strategically yet minimally, dabs in concealer in her under eye area, contours of her nose and the inner corner of her lips blending it in with a brush. If you wish for more coverage, you can wear your favorite tinted moisturizer, a CC cream or a light coverage foundation. Though it would be best to keep it easy breezy.
4. Blush (KEY Step)
Now onto what the KEY part of the make up look is – She blends 2 cream blushes, one a light pink and the second a dark pink along the contours of her cheek, for a more elongated look. If you want your cheeks to be more rounded and prefer the full apple cheeked look, you can apply it directly to the apples of your cheeks. Though remember to use your favorite dewy cream or liquid blush or even a stain to build a long lasting, glowy berry hued blush!
5. Freckles & Shimmer
She finished her look with a peach toned highlighter and bronzer on her eye lids for a swipe of shimmer. She even drew some small freckles on the cheeks (you can use a brown eye pencil or an eye liner to draw a couple dots along your nose and cheeks)
6. Liner & Lashes
Moving onto her eyes, she used a liner along her top water line to add depth to the eyes and curled her eye lashes, finishing up with a generous coat of mascara to her lashes.
7. Lips
She blended in a neutral pink lip liner to shape her lips and dabbed the same two cream blushes on her lips. So tip: use the same tones, preferably the same product on the lips and cheeks to achieve the true strawberry look. Pop on some lip gloss to look extra sun kissed!
