Wishing Danish Taimoor a happiest birthday! On this special day, let’s look back at three things through which he made us go WOW as Sarim in Chand Tara.

Danish, playing Sarim, was a character to remember. He made us feel a lot of different emotions, from happy moments to serious ones. His acting was so on point that we couldn’t help but get hooked on every episode. Whether he was being romantic with his on-screen and real life partner Ayeza Khan or facing familial issues in the story, Danish did a fantastic job. So, on his birthday, we’re not just saying “Happy Birthday,” but also a big “Thank You” for giving us these wholesome instances as Sarim in Chand Tara that we’re going to discuss below!
Freelancers Aren’t Jobless!
Sarim from Chand Tara did something totally cool and different in Pakistani dramas – he was a freelancer in the IT industry! You know, usually in our shows, we see either richy rich kind of heroes or people who’re jobless. But Sarim changed the game by being a freelancer, and that was awesome. In our society, sometimes people think freelancers are just people without jobs, but with the changing dynamics of the society where there’re more freelancers than people who opt for full time office jobs, people need to understand that freelancers aren’t jobless lazy people staying at home full day and doing nothing. The drama and specifically the character tried to bridge this gap by educating and making things clear to people. He made being a freelancer look fun and showed that you can be successful and have a cool job without the usual stereotypical 9 to 5 timing. Although, we’ve seen some characters in the drama too considering him as jobless but the whole idea of portraying him as a freelance worker was so good and he did his job pretty well!
The Romantic Side Of Him
Danish Taimoor as Sarim wasn’t your typical drama guy. He was all heart, full of love and romance, making time for his wife to chill and share some “US” moments. While most dramas give us the same old Saas-Bahu fights where any one of them is the ultimate villian and darkest character, husbands not trusting their wives, and all that drama cliché, Sarim stepped in as a game-changer. He brought in those fresh vibes, showing that love and spending quality time together can be the real deal and that’s not something you see every day. Sarim did something that showed how a man who’s truly in love can be a breath of fresh air for his wife, He made sure to support Nain Tara as much as he can, whether if she wants to continue working at her hospital or if she doesn’t want to go to the honeymoon trip, he respected her will and this is something so rare to see in dramas now a days.
10/10 Brother!
He was not just a romantic guy; he aced the brother game too! When his sister Maala wanted to shoot hoops and play basketball, guess who had her back? Sarim, the ultimate supportive brother! He was the MVP, cheering for her on the sidelines, and making sure she rocked. In a drama world filled with twists and turns, Sarim stood out as a solid 10/10 brother and a real hero. Who needs capes when you have a brother like Sarim, right?
In Pakistani dramas, it feels like we’re stuck in a never-ending loop of saas-bahu conspiracies, husbands forgetting the ABCs of love, and the exhausting cycle of mental and physical abuse. It’s like watching the same old story on repeat – brothers acting like they’re the CEO of their sister’s life, deciding her future without even asking for her opinion. It’s not just TV; these narratives seep into our society, shaping expectations and sometimes normalizing unhealthy relationships.
Sarim’s character brought to life by Danish Taimoor was the hero we didn’t know we needed. His character was a breath of fresh air in a room full of drama negatives. He defied the toxic masculinity trend, showing that being supportive and loving doesn’t make you any less of a man. It’s like he threw out the old drama script and wrote a new one. A script where sisters have a say in their lives, love is a priority, and toxic behavior is so last season.
