Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay has been the talk of the town ever since the first episode premiered. The hype is real! From the cast, characters, and story, HKKST keeps on giving.

We’re loving the chemistry between the trio of Aswad, Mehreen and Mashal. It’s safe to say that Usman Mukhtar, Mahira Khan and Kubra Khan have done justice to their respective roles. Every week, the episodes leave us on a cliffhanger and we impatiently wait for the next episode.
HKKST And Its Character Developments
HKKST talks about different yet meaningful topics in an impactful way . How childhood traumas can affect one’s adult life, how parents’ constant nagging and comparing of their children to friends and family can have a negative impact in the future. How personalities are formed and attitudes depend on the environment a child is brought up in.
Mashal

For example, Mashal’s character is shown as confident, has a superiority complex, yet she conspires against Mehreen. She can’t see her with Aswad or as we saw in recent episodes, she tends to take undue credit too. The throwback in this week’s episode showed her mother’s behavior and how she compared Mashal to Mehreen. “Mehreen ki tarha bano. Be like Mehreen“. For a child not being appreciated or given credit can resort to shape the child into having negative traits in the future.
Mehreen

Then, as for Mehreen, constant reminder of her father’s character and the treatment she receives from her nani, mamu and mami has resulted her into being held back and despite living her whole life with them, she never fully adjusts. The people around her, (except for her khala, Saleha) fail to understand her. But what we love is how she takes a stand all of a sudden and speaks up. A boost of confidence, standing up for yourself can go a long way.
Aswad

Finally, Aswad. We have a love-hate relationship with him. We loved him in the beginning but now he’s showing some toxic traits too. From keeping unfulfilled promises, attitude and treatment towards Mehreen and Mashal, we can only wait and watch what he’ll do.
Audience Reaction
This week’s episode, which aired on Sunday has left the audience in in awe and has become the talk of the town. Viewers have taken to Twitter to share their views & bad parenting is on the cards.
