If originality needed a nudge, HUM TV just added a feather in their cap with a moving OST Fairytale Cover from the cast.
Sehar Khan, Hamza Sohail, Adnan Raza Mir, Aena Khan and Tehseen Wajahat joined in to elevate the Eid mood as they hummed, strummed, crooned, and drummed their way into our lives once again.
What better way to relive Fairytale memories than with a cover that ‘sings volumes’ and on Eid too?
A Spin On The Original
What really took the OST to another level was how it retained the original flavour yet played with the composition to give a lyrical, charming composition with both Sehar Khan & Hamza Sohail working in sublime harmony to create a soulful kind of magic. The rest of the cast joining in added to, rather than take away from the rendition.
Not just that, but the vocals reached out to literally teleport listeners to the Fairytale days, emitting nostalgic feels.
Fine Tuned Jamming Session
The cover felt like a jamming session yet more polished & rehearsed. The feel was young, yet refined and the sepia frames added just the right note of whimsical to a song and melody that now means so much to fans the world over.
Fans Couldn’t Be Happier!
“hamza sehar singing so well together, this is such a good surprise and gift to the fairytale fandom”
“the hand holding broke me and fixed me all at the same time”
“HumTv introducing fairytale s2 like this is just so so special to me.”
“sehar and hamza’s voices are so good but they sound even better in a harmonization, they complement each other so well”
“No wonder why hum tv was gatekeeping the s2’s bts and news; they wanted to announce it like THIS. JAKAJSKSJSKSKK”
Here’s to many more musical wins. If Coke Studio albums have an afterlife, so do drama OSTs. And Fairytale just told us it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
On another note, what’s stopping them from rendering the same on Coke Studio? Just a wild idea guys, hold your horses…but… everything starts with a fairy tale, right? So, wish upon a star and wait to see where Season next takes us!
Dream on and you shall achieve!
