Green Entertainment is bringing us something exciting yet again: Yumna Zaidi and Humayun Saeed have paired up for Green Entertainment’s upcoming project ‘Gentleman’. Humayun Saeed and Yumna Zaidi fans are in a frenzy with news about the superstar’s comeback to the drama world after quite some time. Audiences and we alike have been finding it hard to believe and had to double check to confirm the twitter trend.
While much is left to be anticipated about the drama, here’s what we know so far: The drama is the newly launched TV channel Green Entertainment’s venture bringing superstar Humayun Saeed and the nation’s sweetheart Yumna Zaidi together, a pairing never seen before, never expected and one possible to be quite scintillating. Along side Humayun & Yumna, are Ahmed Ali Butt and Zahid Ahmed. The project is based on a story written by the renowned playwright, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar and directed by Haissam Hussain, produced by the dynamic duo Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz of Next Level Entertainment.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar Hints At A Gangster’s Story
Fans are praising Green Entertainment for experimenting and striving for original content. The poster depicts a gloomy sky over the city and with the text hinting towards a gun, in turn a powerful man and the black bow perhaps representing a gentleman? You can count on fans to spot the unexpected from miles away, many are hoping it’s a crime thriller genre (based on the background and the hinted fire arm) but given Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar is a romance aficionado will it likely be a romance drama? Or better yet, a romance action? In its initial promotional content, the writer Khalil-ur-Rehman has spoken about how we mostly miss the real gangsters at play who might not be the ones in stereotypical gangster garb but maybe in a suit and tie.
Khalil-ur-Rehman’s Version Of An Empowered Woman
The writer also shared how, his dramas make sure to not show empowered women to be crying. He further said, he doesn’t believe in essaying the “pathetic” saas bahu subjects and in turn praised Green Entertainment for not diving into those. So ladies and “gentlemen” (no pun intended) that is the message Khalil Saahab is about to focus on in the upcoming drama Gentleman and might we see a strong female character?
Writer & Director’s Past Hits
Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar in the past has mostly cast the superstar Humanyun Saeed as his hero and the list of their most notable collaborations is vast. Will we see Humayun again similar to his role in Dil lagi, Punjab Nahi Jaoungi or Meray Paas Tum Ho? Humayun is stellar with everything he does and quite exquisite really. Haissam Hussain, the maestro is known for his hits projects Bin Roye, Dur Re Shehwar, Balu Mahi, Dastaan, Aun Zara and recent one Jo Bichar Gaye!
The pairing with Yumna is quite unexpected yet fans have taken to it with all the right feels. Yumna has been giving us back to back hits with Tere Bin, Pyar Ke Sadqay, Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi, Bakhtawar, Ishq e Laa to mention a few.
