Ahsan Khan joins us in Gup Shup with FUCHSIA as our host Rabia Mughni asks him the hard, and not so hard questions. While the star has aced his performance in playing grey characters, his current on-air drama Mere Humnasheen is giving us all feels for Darakhzai! Will he get the girl in the end? The story is teetering on the edge and audiences wait in nervous anticipation as the narrative unfolds.
Darakhzai is not a negative character, explains Ahsan. And, he retorted, I think Khajista also likes him, I’ve seen her watching him, he responds laughingly!
We also managed to steer the conversation to Ahsan’s take on a British- Asian actor doing the rounds – ahem, yes, none other than the man himself! And Ahsan responded in his usual good natured way but with a poignant message that his followers would do well to take note and perhaps, follow too.
Why would I be embarrassed if people are making fun of me, he retorted.
Ahsan Khan
The cameraman asked me to repeat the fact that I was an Asian actor as they were promoting Asian actors at the event. And then there were some very entertaining memes on that one. I think I enjoyed them more than anybody else! But if somebody thinks I was getting embarrassed as people made fun of me, I was not getting embarrassed. I would get embarrased over something morally wrong, not on a language or any other mistake. If I have been dishonest, or stolen something or usurped someone’s right, then I would be embarrassed. Quipped Ahsan.
