Songs such as Tamma Tamma Loge, Auva Auva, Koi Yahan Aha Nache, Jimmy Jimmy Aja Aja are a few songs which we all grew up listening to. The mastermind behind all these, the legendary Bappi Lahiri, aka, Bappi Da and ‘The Disco King’ passed away today due to multiple illnesses post COVID.

The news came in just a few days after the demise of India’s Nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, and has left fans and music lovers all high and low. There’s no doubt that the music industry lost a treasure.
More About Bappi Lahiri

Bappi ji’s real name was Alokesh Lahiri. He rose to fame after releasing the songs for the film Disco Dancer. He introduced a new genre and style in Bollywood and that became an instant hit among the masses. He was not only a composer but a singer too and the voice for many of his originals.
Like most people, Bappi ji had a great fondness for bling which could be seen through his outfits. He was greatly inspired by the evergreen Elvis Presley.
“In Hollywood, famous singer Elvis Presley used to wear gold chains. I was a huge follower of Presley. I used to think, if I become successful someday, then I will build a different image of mine. By the grace of God, I could do it with gold,”
