Azaan’s pain, life being unfair to Javed, Pinjra keeps showing us tragedy with no reprieve. Read more!
“Abaan ke liye role model kisko banaya? Uske bare bhai ko …Mujhe sabse bara dushman bana diya Abaan ka …”
Azaan’s pain at the way Abaan thinks of him tore at our hearts! How would you react to comparison between brothers & sisters?
While Pinjra is giving us a heart breaking, yet startlingly true reflection of the realities we’d rather not face in our society, we wonder if Javed could not have a journey to show us that he too, has learnt from the tragic incidents so far.
Is It All Fair For Javed
“Conflict happens either because of too much love or too much pressure.”
Arsalaan’s subtle advice to Javed also did nothing to create a sense of self awareness in him as he continues to (disappointingly) blame Khadija for all the tragedy in their lives. Is it ego, denial or stubbornness that is not allowing Javed to admit that he has been in the wrong?
Azaan, We Feel For You
From Azaan addressing both his parents to Abaan’s desire to escape and Umar’s dad hell-bent on seeking revenge – Pinjra is relentless in showing us tragedy with no reprieve.
But while you might find this narrative hard on the senses, do not forget that where Abaan doesn’t want to visit his family or Javed continues to blame Khadija for his parenting failures, there are some rays of hope in Pinjra.
Khadija Moving Forward
Khadija trying to make her way, meeting the music producer (something she would have never done before), Arsalan attempting to fight Abaan’s case and planning a home for him at his NGO, Azaan trying hard to communicate with both his parents, Abaan quietly returning to his Art and Abeer’s changeover from a toxic teenager are all signs of hope.
On the other hand, Azaan’s pain at the way Abaan thinks of him & having the courage to speak to both his parents was the main takeaway from the episode.
“Hum qasoorwar hain…bulke hum nahi, mein qasoorwar hoon …
Is ghar ke is mahol ne usko mara hai …
Is ghar se zyada Abaan prefer karta hai Jail mein rehna …
Abaan ke liye role miodel kisko banaya? Uske bare bhai ko …
Mujhe sabse bara dushman bana diya Abaan ka”
Have you ever been exposed to comparison between siblings and how would you deal with it? Would you also have a conversation with your parents about it?
