We are confused and disappointed as Kabli Pulao fans. Did we really need that social media angle coming in and taking up one whole episode? We wanted to know more about Barbeena and Haji Sahib’s relationship dynamics. How society and normal daily life issues affect or help accept such relationships rather than bringing out the social media angle.
Haji Sahib’s Insecurities Rise To The Surface
While it was sad to see Haji Sahib’s insecurities because of people liking and recognizing Barbeena, it was also kind of okay to see that he is human at the end of the day. He is not an angel or the perfect person, he can make mistakes or can have shortcomings like all of us. What’s Important is that hopefully he will learn and apologies for this behavior.
The Social Media & Documentary Angle
While the whole social media angle and documentary that Hajra made did show how we as society through social media can end up creating complications in some one’s life, knowing or unknowingly. But right now, with the very limited number of dramas talking about topics like age difference in a marriage, there are enough issues present with reference to the story to just focus on that. First and foremost, what any couple has to face is how people react to such couples, how if day to day life present any challenge for them or not?
Though we are happy that Hajra’s story turned out to be positive and not a negative one, like it seemed to be turning out. She did call out everyone for judging others and always wondering how they can be happy despite not being like most.
Ilyas’s Behavior Left Us Confused
Why is Ilyas doing all this? The previous episode confused us about his feelings towards Shameem. Now he wants to bring Haji sahib back for Shameem and separate him from Barbeena at all costs. This sudden change in Ilyas is confusing and looks like a forced excuse to bring Haji Sahib back. We expected Shameem to take a stronger stand with Ilyas and stop what he was doing, especially him torturing Zakir bhai who actually has been a nice guy so far.
Barbeena Starts Selling Homemade Kabli Pulao
How can Haji Sahib expect Barbeena to take any action against anyone? She is not familiar with all this and has no idea what impact her pictures are making generally or on Haji Sahib. We were happy to see Haji Sahib initially being okay with the whole idea of her to start selling Kabli Pulao from home. It was endearing to see them both working together. In fact, he seemed to be okay when Barbeena gave him the money and did exactly what he had done when he had given her the money. But guess what, insecurities do catch up with everyone eventually. Maybe Hajra was right when she compared Haji Mushtaq with her own husband.
Baran watching that video with curiosity and interest was another confusing angle. We thought he would be devastated or would leave immediately to reach where Barbeena is. But it seemed he was also just another spectator of the Haji Mushtaq-Barbeena show.
