Kuch Ankahi Poster Drop – The Comedy Drama With A Social Message is About To Hit Our TV Screens. Find Out Everything We Know So Far!

As fans gear up for the watch of 2023 (fingers crossed), we give you 9 things we know about the drama that’s about to kickstart our drama world in 2023! Here goes!
1. Real Humour, Minus The Slapstick (We Hope)

Kuch Ankahi is penned by celebrated writer Mohammad Ahmed whose Baraat Series had us ROFL in 2009! The humour was real and hence, so was the laughter. We’re hoping for a return to funny moments in January 2023!
2. A Tribute To Haseena Moin’s Characters & Wit

The drama was first slated to be penned by the late Haseena Moin of Ankahi, Tanhaiyan, Dhoop Kinaare, Uncle Urfi, Aahat and more, who tragically left us too early. In order to find a writer who could do justice to the script, Mohammad Ahmed fell as a natural choice. His quick wit and intelligent brand of humour is on point and a match and a half with that of the late Haseena Moin, so we have a win, win!
3. From the Producers Of Udaari & More, But With A Twist In the Tale!

Kuch Ankahi is a Kashf Foundation narrative, co produced by Six Sigma Plus and ARY Digital. Hence, despite the humour, we expect the story will deliver subtle messages with comic timing. That is the power of comedy, and we’re glad the producers are going for this ‘twist in the tale’ it can reach hearts and minds where nothing else works! (Though we don’t want to take away from the many sober topics Kashf has pushed previously, Eg. Udaari, Aakhri Station, Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahin to name a few.
4. Intelligent Comedy But With A Message, Several, In Fact!
The messages you can expect to see addressed are relevant and resonate with many in society – sexual harassment, lack of professional opportunities for women, property inheritance, body shaming, rights of minorities are among some of the topics that will be taken on in intelligent, humorous and poignant ways through strong female characterizations.
5. Wait For The Star Power!
Yes it’s a Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan starrer and directed by none other than Nadeem Baig of the recent Sinf e Aahan and so many more memorable projects.
6. Is It A Classic Remake?
The narrative was originally said to be essayed on Jane Austen’s evergreen classic Pride & Prejudice. But writer Mohammad Ahmed has given it a spin of his own. Where 5 sisters have been replaced by 3 and intelligent dialogue, wit and sensitive social humour might give us many winning moments.
7. An OST That We’re Rooting For Already, Find Out Why!

The vocals behind the Kuch Ankahi OST is none other than our very own Azaan Sami Khan whose Saathiya from Ishq e laa is still going strong for many. Can’t wait for this one to drop!
8. Ensemble Cast That Will Keep The Story Within The Story A Watch & A Half!
The drama boasts a formidable ensemble cast including Mohammad Ahmed, Irsa Ghazal, Mira Sethi, Vaneeza Ahmed, Qudsia Ali, and many more.
9. Mark Your Calendars For The First Episode Drop!
This Kashf Foundation narrative drops its first episode on January 7th on ARY Digital and fans can’t wait to catch the first episode.
