Kashmir HUM Style Awards 2024 went down last night with an evening filled with style (as expected, and why not), as the fashion, film and drama fraternity brushed shoulders, giving us all mortals, watching on social media, a glimpse of fashion, dance, song and of course lots more style!
There was a buzz in the air as Instagram came alive with celebrities posing in the best that the Pakistani fashion world has to offer, tagging their costume designers for the evening and while the stars mingled and applauded the talent that adds the glitz and glamour to our lives, we also had a chance to celebrate the winners. After all, it was an awards night!
While many thanked the award hosts and their designers for the look of the day, some celebrities also used their platform to speak out on the war in Gaza. Hania Aamir was one such celebrity who has been using her platform to draw attention to the plight of the people in Gaza.
On receiving the award for the Most Stylish Actor, Female, this is what she had to say:
“If I could take a minute to remember all the people in Gaza. All of us have a platform here: Aap mashhoor hon ya na hon, aap sab ka aik platform hai jo aap use karte hain, to amplify your voice, your image, taake aap doosron tak puhanch saken.
I would want kay aap wo platform use karen ceasefire ke liye. #CeasefireNow should never stop trending. So, I would want all of us to do that. Because we are literally writing History with all of our actions, whatever we’re doing, whatever we’re saying.
So let’s be on the right side of History!”
