Do you agree how Murad needs to step up and stop with his white lies? Will Mannat be able to continue tolerating it?

While Mannat is battling the spice level of her susraal’s house and the rules and regulations of Razia Sultana’s household, Murad’s web of white lies persist. His antics and performances to be able to sail in two boats are only amping up. Will Mannat bear it? Who are you feeling worse for? Mannat or Murad? Will Mannat be able to turn things around or will Razia Sultana be too much for her?
Nothing goes past his mothers’ eyes, and she makes sure she keeps emotionally blackmailing him at least a couple of times in a day. But is he really a bechara at this point? Or becoming a spineless liar? Ouch, that sounded a little harsh but it is what it is.
The drama masterfully treads the fine line between humor, societal reflection, and tugging at our heartstrings with a touch of romance. However, in this week’s episode, it delivered eight profound dialogues that demand a deeper understanding. The path to Mannat and Murad’s marriage appeared to be quite rocky, leaving us uncertain about its eventual outcome.
The Not So Ideal Marriage Night
Although they did tie the knot (barely), Murad remains unable to assert himself for his own sake or Mannat’s. Their initial night as a married couple involved Murad attending to his mother’s needs, from massaging her head and legs to rushing to fetch the doctor. He even ended up sleeping by his mother’s side, far from an ideal first night for him. Meanwhile, Mannat found herself waiting for Murad on her first night, struggling with the heavy makeup and dress. Eventually, she gave up and what followed was unexpectedly funny and sad—her sister-in-law entered the scene and decided to sleep in Mannat’s room.
Murad’s Bright Ideas Are Really Just Lousy
Even when Mannat wakes up in the morning, Murad is nowhere to be found as his mother and sister force him to rise early to get his good for nothing, brother-in-law released from jail. Mannat has had enough and now is leaving with her brother…and that’s when Murad comes in with what seems to be an injured arm. Hmm, all the women of his family surround him with suffocating, frightening concern and Mannat forgets all thoughts of leaving him behind.
Mannat Knows How To Handle Razia Sultana & Co
Mannat is worried, instinctively tending to him and caring for him but Murad’s sisters, mothers and aunts are shell shocked, baffled! At his wife’s sheer shamelessness because you know how immodest is the sight of a wife tending to her husband. Well, we didn’t need to be too worried because Mannat sure knew to handle their shocked response and his mother’s aggressively persistent attempts at getting Murad to not go up to his room with his wife.
Mannat was assertive, her usual feisty yet calm and logical self while she didn’t hesitate to reason with them and arm in arm take Murad to their room. At this moment, Itrat’s dialogue sure got us thinking as she says: “Hamesha farq rakha na betay aur beti mai, apni taraf say aisi larki ko bahu bana kay laen, jo Murad ko na pasand hou, ab agay agay dekhay hota hai kya!” Truly, even we are intrigued to see what all happens next.
But Will She Be Able To Handle What Comes Next?
We must say, Mannat is handling both the sisters and mother well, glad to see she is not following the typical narrative of a desi bahu, the damsel in distress. This is how a girl can take stock of things. Perhaps what the daughter and sons couldn’t do, Mannat will be able to – question, reason and correct their mother. Razia Sultana has found her match. But will Mannat be able to handle what comes next?
Murad Really Ought To Step It Up
Many daughter-in-laws could relate to this very prominent desi struggle still faced by a large chunk in our society. But what we can’t not point out is Murad is going to have to do his part – he can’t just depend on his lousy antics and last resorts to sustain his marriage. He is going to have to learn to reason with his family. Well, he has tried to tell his mother the normal, straight (rather demure way) but now since that has come to no fruition he is now trying it the crooked way.
But Mannat isn’t sold on his ways, Mannat isn’t used to these white lies and as per the promos won’t be standing or helping him in this. In the promos she’s found out how he’s faking his shoulder injury! “Jhoot bolna ek choti se khata tumharay liye hoge, kyun kay tum tou theray ek pakkay jhootay.”
So, we wonder is Murad going to step up or will Mannat do it for him? Or will she just choose to remove herself from the situation?
