She always wants the best for Nashwa and Bisma, much like us. The actor who made Beenish stand out is Fajr Sheikh, who is here with us today. She did an amazing job playing such a lovely character on screen. Let’s see what Fajr has to share about her experience working on Qarz e Jaan and more!
Was Fajr Expecting Such A Warm Response On Qarz e Jaan? Here’s What She Feels!
I don’t care what happens after I come on TV. I just want to act well.
Fajr Sheikh
Fajr Sheikh shared that while filming Qarz e Jaan, she genuinely enjoyed performing, especially alongside Yumna Zaidi. Their friendly off-screen bond added to the fun on set. She mentioned that her focus was never on how people would react once the show aired. Instead, her goal was to perform well and stay true to the writer’s vision. Knowing that audiences vary—some will connect, while others might not—she chose not to worry about the outcome. However, she admitted the overwhelming love and appreciation for Beenish came as a surprise, and it made her truly happy.
What Are The Challenges Newcomers Face In The Industry That Often Go Unnoticed? – Fajr Sheikh’s POV
I think it is professionalism.
Fajr Sheikh
Fajr Sheikh pointed out that one of the biggest yet unnoticed challenges for newcomers in the industry is understanding professionalism. She explained that many people assume acting is just a hobby or something actors do on their own terms. However, being on set is serious work, and it demands discipline. Fajr noted that some new actors struggle with the idea of waiting or following set protocols, questioning why they aren’t being used more efficiently. She also highlighted the hard work assistant directors (ADs) put in and emphasized the importance of valuing time—not just your own but everyone else’s on set.
Is Harassment In The Industry Real Or Just A Rumor? How Safe Is It For Women?
It is not in the industry.
Fajr Sheikh
Fajr Sheikh addressed the sensitive topic of harassment in the entertainment industry by drawing a clear line between insiders and outsiders. According to her, the real threat doesn’t come from within the industry itself but from people who pretend to be part of it. She explained that newcomers, especially women with no connections or guidance, are often targeted by such individuals. These people exploit their lack of industry knowledge, sometimes even using fabricated stories or photos to intimidate them. Fajr emphasized that genuine professionals within the industry do not engage in such behavior, and most cases of harassment stem from outsiders pretending to have influence or authority.
