Can someone’s attitude and toxic behaviour justify infidelity and betrayal? Mein asks a vital and thought provoking question through Mubashira and Muhib.

Despite not being fans of Mubashira, we feel bad for her.
Fab Performance From Ayeza Khan
The power of Ayeza Khan’s performance, strength of the script and direction was evident in last night’s episode as we all felt for Mubashira despite her dominating and selfish nature. Mubashira made us feel that maybe, life has been unfair with her. Mein also shows us past scenes where Muhib himself was appreciating Mubashira ’s dominating and controlling nature.
Betrayal Justified?
We wonder, what does it take to really betray your childhood best friend? Did Mubashira do anything to her? Is it just lust? Or is it that both Muhib and Hina found a joint space of solace in each other against Mubashira’s selfishness and insensitivity. But they always had the option to walk away, just like they have done now.
We urge drama makers to be careful in using terms like “Depression” so casually. A bit more clarification will be appreciated. Hina was experiencing anxiety or undergoing a panic attack from the fear of Mubashira’s reaction. If she lapsed into a depressive state or fatigue after, that should have been explained medically as an expected aftermath of extreme anxiety (which Hina experienced).
Why was Hina so scared of Mubashira? Can she really burn down the house just to exact revenge?
Anger Management Issues Or Simply Self-centred?
Does Mubashira have anger management issues? Or is she simply a self-centred, insensitive person?
The drama must be appreciated by advocating therapy in case of trauma. Though we do not know if it will actually make a difference for Mubashira? It doesn’t seem that she will change or can change, so would she actually cause harm to the entire concept of seeking therapy if it fails to improve her behaviour and outlook?
Questions On Our Mind
What is the history between Mubashira and her brother? Everyone except her father seems to be wary of her.
Will Zaid fall prey to his father’s requests to sacrifice his love for the sake of his father’s friendship?
Is Mubashira really sad about losing her husband or is it more of an ego issue: “how dare someone did this to me?” One wonders what is bothering her more?
Tell us what you think of the latest Mein Episode and were you, like us, feeling for Mubashira despite all her personality issues?
