Mein Episode 2 Review – 3 Surprises & Some Questions

Surprise again… Mubashira’s husband ends up marrying her best friend. Well, that is one thing we sure didn’t expect. While we might not have feelings for her, but marrying her best friend is tantamount to stabbing her in the back. Do you agree?
What Men Want!
Mohib’s character shows how men eventually give up on rude, selfish, controlling and dominating women, especially someone who speaks against their mother and has no respect for her. But we do wonder, instead of insulting her in front of everyone, could Mohib not have left her some time ago? Or done something else? Is he not to be blamed at all for Mubashira’s behavior? For two years he had been putting up with it, why?
Or is this the pent up bitterness and negativity of the past two years that is finally revealing itself in Mohib’s heartless reactions – not only does he want to divorce Mubashira, but he wants to do it in a manner that hurts her the most – in public, and also marry her best friend in the bargain – hence hurting her ego and public image, which she holds very dear to her sense of who she is!
But will Mubashira allow Mohib to act in this manner and get away with it. Whatever made him take those actions, he will have to pay for them?
Which side are you on?
Is Mubashira’s behaviour and what Mohib did or should have done in those past two years interdependent events or is one the cause of the other? Share your views with us in comments below.
Mein continues to surprise us….
Surprised why Mubashira’s father doesn’t want her to find Mohib before he does? Is she really that much of a terror? Surprised that Mubashira is more concerned about her izzat, and feeling insulted before everyone, rather than losing her husband…, well maybe not that surprised. Surprised that Mohib’s mother is not happy about him divorcing Mubashira?
Zaid and Ayra have no idea what’s about to hit them. we would have liked some cute romance or warm tender moments between them so we fully feel the tragedy that is about to befall them – after all, it is a drama, a pull on our emotional sensibilities, hence, dramatic sentiment will help make the narrative more powerful.
