Mein: A Battle Of Egos takes The Drama To A Whole New Level Of Intrigue

Has Mubashira met her male version in Zaid? Zaid being so ruthless with Mubashira but really patient with Ayra now – confusing or a plain red flag? If Mubashira married him to save her image in society, Zaid also married her to save his worth. Does he deserve sympathy now?
Battle Of Egos
The battle of egos between Mubashira and Zaid is interesting to watch, with Zaid winning so far. Just when we thought he would submit to Kashmala’s emotional blackmailing, Zaid refuses to buckle under pressure and in fact, let’s Mubashira know it’s going to be a rocky road ahead. The question is, how far will Zaid test Mubashira’s patience and willing to stay adamant on his stance despite his sister’s and Rayyan’s relationship in Mein. Will he throw caution to the winds or, buckle under pressure eventually?
Will Mubashira keep giving in to Zaid’s unrelenting ego and stubbornness? It is interesting to see her at the receiving end as she seems to have met her match in the battle of egos of their Mein. Zaid isn’t giving in so far, and like we said, we wonder who between the two, will win eventually!
Mubashira’s Father Pushes His Daughter To Make Marriage Work
Looks like more than Mubashira, her father is responsible for Mubashira’s actions and behavior. The way he bullied her into getting ready, told her to make the marriage work no matter what, despite knowing Zaid didn’t want to marry her, was very disturbing. As a father he is not really bothered about her mental and emotional wellbeing. He is pushing her into becoming the worst version of herself rather than liberating her by telling her to step away from marriage and any other complicated start in life, at least for the time being.
A Relationship Triangle
Though Zaid has always been patient and kind with Ayra, his impulsive and egotistic response to her choosing her brother over him, rather than handling the situation with calm and wisdom, indicates the existence of red flags. We can see this in how he behaves with Mubashira. Zaid’s father is the one who planned and plotted behind his back, Muabshira had nothing to do with it so now it doesn’t make sense why he is so cruel towards her. He also wanted to marry her for his own benefit, so he is not blame free.
And if his feelings for Ayra are really genuine, shouldn’t he just divorce Mubashira? What is he waiting for? For the first time Mubashira is stuck, she actually has no choice but to do what Zaid asks her to do. We just wonder how did these two think their marriage would work in future. Which alternate reality is Zaid’s father living in? Does he really think that by blackmailing Zaid into attending the valima, he can make this relationship work? Zaid’s reaction will be even worse eventually. Kashmala is also using Zaid for her own selfish reasons unfortunately and is living in delusion that her marriage will continue happily ever after if Zaid is forced to stay with Mubashira.
