Brilliant direction, engaging storytelling and impressive performances. Muhabbat Ghumshuda Meri has kept the surprise level going till now and we keep wondering what happens next. The story balances emotions thought provoking questions and the complexity of our relationships – not boring viewers even for a minute.

The Trauma Doesn’t End Here!
Zubia and Saim have reached their parents now but as expected, their challenges are triple fold now. They not only have to face the wrath of their families now but also go through the excruciating pain of separation from each other. Questions about each other’s loyalty, actions and love are also driving them crazy.
Saim most probably, is now mentally and emotionally traumatized by what Danyal did to him as we see in the last scene. Saim was always the more sensitive one; all the stress, all the blame and all his own love for Zubia is now taking its toll. His parents’ decision to take him away is probably the best, but they must find out about the nikah.
Responsibility Of Family
While one thinks that running away from home is not right, but the attitude of Zubia’s parents and Danyal makes it very difficult for one to feel their pain. It is actually Zubia that we end up feeling for. Also, till when will children carry emotional blame and blackmailing in the name of love for parents. Why do we educate children if we are not willing to have a conversation with them?
Danyal’s Crime
While Danyal could have killed Saim and escaped any punishment, we feel he needs to pay for taking the law in his own hands. The message needs to be sent out loud and clear as Danyal’s actions are tantamount to allegations of honor killing (especially if Saim had died and there would be no one bearing witness to the crime). Danyal has denied all charges and hence, Saim’s testimony is necessary before he is discharged from the hospital.
But will Zubia deny everything under pressure from her family in order to save Danyal? Our heart cries for Zubia as she tries to eat some food after a long and traumatic chain of events, but she is met with Rushna’s anger and sarcasm instead. Sitara is a fresh breath of air – someone trying to infuse logic in all that is happening.
Attention To Detail & Sharp Storytelling
Muhabbat Ghumshuda Meri must be appreciated for delivering a logical and well-thought-out plan for each twist. We presume Zubia didn’t show up randomly at the hospital. Since she was unwell, we assume she visits the hospital where she ends up seeing Saim’s mother and subsequently, follows her to his room. The fight scene between Saim and Daniyal was very impactful and made one fear for Saim’s life. A round of applause for the entire team and especially the two lead actors for executing the narrative in such a powerful way.
