Do our drama creators realise the implication of perpetually using fake rape allegations and trivialising a very serious matter, undermining the efforts of those who are fighting this in real life?

Terribly Irresponsible Plot Twist
We just couldn’t believe it as Faha pulled the final string in her plan and accused Saad of attempting to rape her. It was disappointment on another level. Especially when coming from such credible names and creators. After spending weeks on a drama, investing time and emotions in characters, it is highly unfair to fans and audiences to throw a “Baba Adam” kay zamaney ka twist.
If the story is aimed at reversing sides and making Saad and his family go through what Maheer went through because of false accusations, then a better, more intelligent and relevant reason had to be created. Is it too much to ask as audiences for this bare minimum?
Content Department?
If the writer was not able to come up with something better for Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, we wonder what happened to the so-called content department who is supposed to review and improve content. Not a single person felt there was something wrong in pulling this plot twist. Well, we guess it is RIP improvements and responsible content.
Maybe Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha is getting one thing right and that is lack of communication between couples. Why didn’t Saad tell Maheer or someone in his house that he is going to meet Faha?
Finer Details
We wonder if an accused is not allowed a single phone call to his family or lawyer at the Police station? Please educate us if that is not the case. It seemed nonsensical to see Maheer going from one police station to another looking for Saad.
Silver lining
The only high point we can hope for from this entire fiasco is that Maheer might finally find strength within herself, stand up, wake up and do something.
