First things first. WOW! The evening had us glued to our screens from the very first second of Pak vs. NZ. Yes, Pakistan won (YAY) but the anticipation and the competition kept us on the edge of our seats once again.

Just when we thought we couldn’t be happier than the results of Pak vs India, which took place Sunday night, the Pakistan team was at it again. This time with New Zealand. Yes, the same team which called off their Pakistan tour for security reasons. Hmmm. Oh well.
Last night, the two teams had a face-off in Sharjah for the T20 World Cup for Pak vs. NZ.
The crowd was in full swing, players in full action, bringing their A-Game! PS, we loved the whole vibe the crowd gave us!
Match Highlights
Pakistan once again won the toss! How lucky! And of course, our favorite captain, Babar Azam opted to ball first
A wise decision indeed!

For this match, things flipped. Haris Rauf saved the day with his bowling, and team fielding was on point. We got the wickets and the score was achievable, which was just perfect.
But the batting took an interesting turn. Sadly, Rizwan and Babar left the pitch too soon for starters. Oof, reaching 100 runs was such a task. Did the green shirts get under pressure? Probably yes, as the bowling and fielding from NZ was top-notch. Coming back, we bid farewell to Imad Wasim and Hafeez too soon too. But lucky for us, then entered our shining heroes for the night, Asif and Shoaib Malik. Wah Bhai wah! (Don’t mind me I’m just reliving the thrill!)
Of 6s & 4s!

They kept us on the edge of our seats, eyes glued and biting our nails till the very last moment. OMG, I still remember reading 53 runs needed from 35 balls. That’s when I went into panic mode. I think everyone did. Did you? But those last few 6s and boundaries were the game-changer, and then it was Pakistan’s game!
Twitter Reaction
