Pakistan won the toss, had a great start in the first innings. Out pe out. Just what we wanted to see. Haris Rauf became the talk of the town by taking down wickets after wickets, especially when Sri Lanka started making those dreaded runs. For our team, the stakes were high.
The whole of Pakistan was watching, after an incredible performance overall in the tournament, everyone had eye on the prize. Unfortunately, Shadab Khan was injured, even though he tried to give it his all, it wasn’t his day. Dropped the ball twice, and that clash with Asif Ali, resulted in a six for the the Sri Lankans.

Second innings. Another great start. Wide, no balls, free hits. Zero balls and we already had 10 runs. Unbelievable.
But as we all know, the Sri Lanka team have a cricket cricket team and throughout their fielding has been top notch. Such was the case yesterday too. Tight fielding, and then when they got Babar, our hearts dropped. And then another wicket. And another. The anxiety was real!
Rizwan, made half a century and had a fifty run partnership with Iftikhar. But those 87 runs in 80 balls were not looking good. Those very few sizes in between were beautiful but it wasn’t our day.
