Parey Hut Love recently released its sound track and it’s definitely the epitome of an entire package! From fresh names such as Ali Tariq to our safe corners Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the movie gives us a taste of almost all musical genres.
The cinematic genius of Asim Raza comes together with the musical prodigy of Azaan Sami Khan, son of Adnan Sami, to produce pure lyrical and instrumental bliss.
While the festive jingles are right in time for shaadi season, the soulful singles will never go out of fashion! Here’s a quick summary of what the songs were like:
For the self-proclaimed mehndi DJs:
Ik Pal: Brilliant as always, Hadiqa Kayani has outdone herself alongside Harshdeep Kaur. The energy exhibited by the song gives off the vibe of either a shaadi or a mehndi and will definitely make you want to sing along and sway! The Punjabi lyrics of course, also put on a play for creating the perfect wedding playlist.
For the sassiest of Queens:
Balma Bhagora: Your desi classic, mixed with the item number that gets the party going. Techno beats with subtle inclusions of rap gives the tune a rather very funky edge. Something definitely worth dancing to. We honestly didn’t know Aima Baig had it in her!
When rainy days turn to shiny days:
Haye Dil: Jimmy Khan catches our attention with his forte, pop music. Here’s to the perfect mix of hip-hop with a big serving of Jimmy’s beautiful voice that will take you up the roller-coaster and down with the sickest beat of the century! Just in time for that beat drop.
For the ones in need of an escape:
Moray Saiyan: Zeb Bangash will never disappoint, will she? We don’t think so either. A classical note here and a catchy instrumental string there, gives the track a subtle farewell feel. The perfect parting melody that will always leave us hopeless romantics, wanting more.
For the hopeless romantics:
Behka na: Warm, placid and soulful, perhaps the perfect fit for a solo car drive. Ali Tariq has not only wowed us, but his refreshing take on absolutely perfect, rainy day music was definitely a hit! Hardeep Kaur has hit all the right notes in her Ik Pal feature with Behka na, producing a brilliantly compelling tune that works in favor of the overall vibe.
For the sufi rock enthusiasts from Junoon times:
Zehal-e-Miskin: If magic could be produced as music, this would be it! In the very Anarkali-esque fashion, this song takes us somewhere to the interior regions of Sindh and reconnects us with tradition. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan pays homage to the pioneers of the Sufi name, Ameer Khusro and his uncle, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Not picking sides but we would definitely recommend Behka na by Ali Tariq from the film Parey Hut Love!
