Baber, for whom appearances and superficiality matter, Mona who is completely okay with her weight and sees no reason to change herself to fit the world’s shallow standards now come together for the sake of Ayan.

As these two people prepare to marry each other, we look forward to their journey together and as separate individuals.
Cliched Plot?
Although the plot seems cliched with regards to the twist that Mona has to marry Baber for the sake of her niece Ayan, (and many would argue that she could have taken care of Ayan as a khala too), we feel that the drama is meant to show the journey of people who are like Baber and Mona. Baber will learn to appreciate the non-materialistic and non-superficial traits of people. He might learn to value them for their inner beauty rather than their outward appearance. Mona will most probably learn that while she is extremely comfortable in her skin, maintaining a healthy weight is also necessary for her future health and not just about ‘ living how you want to’ or proving the world wrong.
Without bringing Baber & Mona together in a relationship, this transformation might not have been possible. Because as husband and wife they might face situations and experience life in a way that is not possible when living as two independent individuals. Also, we must remember that every child craves the stability of a home and family with all elements present. So Ayan is looking to create what she lost.
Appreciate the drama showing that the characters went through a process, the creators built up the story to bring it to a point where Baber and Mona both feel a little cornered by Ayan. It wasn’t as if they were hastily married off right after the death of Samiya – the plot twist was definitely more credible.
Baber’s Hurtful Dialogues
ust when we think the recent loss would have brought out some sensitivity in Baber, he proves us wrong. His dialogues to Mona about being jealous of her sister’s beauty were really hurtful and downright mean. But we wonder, if this was really him or just his intense grief and frustration making him utter these hurtful dialogues.
Mona’s Super girl vibes
Mona is giving super girl goals in the manner in which she deals with the onslaught from Baber. She held Baber to task by planting a seed of doubt in his brain, that Samiya was, in fact, a hugely unfortunate person to be married to Baber. Her gut reaction to Baber’s insensitive meltdown was both touching and uplifting for us and eye opening for Baber.
Regardless of Mona’s bravado, the events have affected her morale and she have kind of given in. Unfortunately, the people around her had a big role to play in bringing her to this point and affecting her spirit.
