Is Nashwa underestimating her dadi and Bakhtiyar’s reaction to planning her mother, Bisma’s marriage to Asim? While this leaves us worried, the drama portrays her thought process beautifully. But will Nashwa have to pay the price for agreeing to marry Ammar—perhaps with Maheen’s murder case being reopened?

What A Lovely And Heartwarming Scene
The touching interaction between Nashwa and Asim left us teary-eyed, thanks to a stellar performance by Yumna Zaidi. A daughter willing to fight for her mother’s happiness no matter what—Nashwa’s determination shines as she even convinces her grandmother to stand up for Bisma. We also uncover part of Bisma’s story: why she married Behzaad instead of Asim. The revelation of her grandmother selfishly marrying her off to a terminally ill man with no cure is heartbreaking.
Welcome back Faisal Rehman! It was heartening to watch you onscreen. The interaction between Asim and Nashwa was so natural – a fine balance of emotions, fatherly regard, sadness over your past heartbreak intermingling with tenderness for Nashwa was so effortlessly portrayed onscreen. You teleported us back to the good old PTV era where stellar performances shaped memorable scenes, evoking characters that resonated with audiences.
But let’s rewind a bit—what happened to Nashwa when she saw Burhan talking to her cousin? Did we just witness her realizing her feelings for Burhan? The discomfort and frustration were evident, but how did this moment lead her to approach Asim and invite him to the event? The connection seems unclear.
Ammar surprising Nashwa (and us!) by agreeing to empty the room was another intriguing twist. The scene had us hooked as Ammar’s friend awkwardly tried to approach Nashwa, creating unexpected tension. But this makes us wonder: could this conflict push Ammar’s friend to leak information regarding Maheen’s case?
Or could it make Nashwa regard Ammar in a slightly more positive light?
The fact that Ammar warns his friend to keep off girls in his family is a telling example and unfortunate reality of how harassers seem to disregard the same rule when they abuse women from other families, almost as if they are justified to act in any manner as long as they are not related to the girl.
The drama continues to shed light on societal issues, such as the mistreatment of widows in seemingly affluent and educated families. The stigma that widows bring bad luck or should live the rest of their lives without participating in festivities or any sort of joy, is highlighted.
Unanswered Mysteries
How come Burhan doesn’t know who Nashwa is? This seems like a glaring script flaw since Burhan is shown to be sharp and thorough. Wouldn’t his research on Bakhtiyar’s family reveal Nashwa’s connection to Ammar? It’s puzzling how the story overlooks this.
Why did Nashwa leave her mother alone in the kitchen with Bakhtiyar, knowing how uncomfortable Bisma feels around him and his real intentions? Even though the maid was present initially, it didn’t seem like the right choice for Nashwa to step away.
On that note, why did Bisma dismiss the maid, leaving herself alone with Bakhtiyar? It feels like a reckless decision, almost as if she is putting herself in unnecessary distress. Is this an unconscious form of self-sabotage?
