Anchor Rabia Anum walked out of NIda Yasir’s morning show to take a stand for the victims of domestic abuse. She went on to explain and apologise to Nida saying , “You know I love you. This team and this channel are very dear to me. We are talking about childhood mistakes right now but there are some mistakes that stay with you your whole life. I don’t want to make such mistakes here today.”
She elaborated, “There’s an issue close to me, for which I have taken a very strong stance. When I came to your show today, I knew Fiza will be here but I wasn’t informed of any other guests. I have taken a stand against domestic abuse. And I think if my smallest effort can save my daughter, my friend tomorrow, then I have to comply.”
She Addressed Nida further saying, “I know you are an employee of the channel and I know you are very responsible. But if I sat through this show today, I won’t be able to face my friends, my colleagues, or any victim tomorrow. I hope you can forgive me.”
Rabia Anum’s reason for walking out of the show was her fellow guest, Mohsin Abbas Haider who had allegations of domestic abuse against his ex-wife, Fatima Sohail. However Rabia did not take any names.
