Zee TV launches reality show to celebrate the amazing talent and diversity in Singapore’s Jubilee year
‘Dance Singapore Dance’, Zee TV’s first reality dance competition in Singapore, is ready to catapult local dancers into fame by providing them with a platform to showcase their talent on international television. The winner of the competition stands to win a grand prize of SGD $10,000 in cash.
Zee TV’s iconic ‘Dance India Dance’ changed the way dance is perceived in India. This platform introduced some spectacular talents each season, which made a distinct mark for them in the entertainment industry. For the very first time, people across the country sat up and started looking at dance, choreography and allied fields as serious career avenues. This game changer set higher and higher benchmarks with each successive season and consistently outdid itself in showcasing brilliance and innovation in dance. In the year of Singapore’s Jubilee, Zee TV has launched ‘Dance Singapore Dance’, but of course with a local twist. As a cosmopolitan city, Singapore has a unique blend of cultures and talent, which will stand out.
‘Dance Singapore Dance’ will have the spirit of, and showcase a similar look and feel to ‘Dance India Dance’. The dancers will be judged by Shakti Mohan, winner of ‘Dance India Dance Season 2’, and Zaini Mohammad Tahir, artistic director and choreographer of NUS Dance Ensemble. The charismatic KP will host this season of ‘Dance Singapore Dance’.
‘Dance Singapore Dance’ introduces a duo of young dynamic judges, innovations in terms of dance styles and is set to explore a new format where contestants will face each other in a battleground of dance! The auditions saw an overwhelming response of over 200 local dancers from all walks of life, diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and age groups take part. After three rounds of gruelling auditions, the top 12 participants were awarded the “Hat of Destiny” and will vie for the final cash prize of $10,000.

With ‘Dance Singapore Dance’, Zee TV APAC hopes to pioneer a dance revolution in Singapore.
‘Dance Singapore Dance’ will premiere on Saturday 18th July on Zee TV at 8 pm across 18 countries. The show will also be broadcast on Sunday 19th July 11:30 am on Zee Tamizh and StarHub’s Sensasi.
