Reham Gets Real About Acting, Fame & Being Judged!
I think, not just female, but male actors who come in, I think they don’t get the right guidance.
Reham Rafiq
Since Reham Rafiq is fairly new to the industry, we asked her what young female actors go through that often gets overlooked. She pointed out that it’s not just about being a girl—both male and female newcomers lack proper guidance. Instead of being taught about their craft, they’re told how to chase fame, grab a lead role, and climb the ladder fast. No one talks about mastering the basics like scene reading, body movement, or emotional delivery. Reham mentioned that many don’t even know how to read a screenplay the right way—and that’s where things start falling apart.
When asked about playing leads, Reham shared that she’s never been obsessed with landing the main role. What matters more to her is the depth of the character. She recently felt truly seen when veteran actors like Marina Khan and Nadia Afgan praised her work in Parwarish. After nearly a decade of hard work, those words meant everything.
Manifesting Amal? Reham Rafiq Shares How She Landed Parwarish!
I got the character from Alchemists.
Reham Rafiq
When we asked Reham how she got the role of Amal in Parwarish, she said it all started with a call from Alchemists (Talent Management Agency). She wasn’t sure if someone referred her or if it was just luck, but once she heard Meesam Naqvi was directing—and knowing his theatre background—she was excited. She confidently met with the team, had a great conversation, and then auditioned on the spot. She read her lines, did the scene, and left it to fate.
Then came the wait. Reham told us that after three weeks of silence, she finally got the call. She auditioned for multiple roles, including Maya and Amal, but when they leaned toward Amal, she asked to be fully briefed about the character. Once she heard the story, it was a yes from her. And yes—she was thrilled. According to Reham, the set of Parwarish was part hard work, part hangout zone—but when it was time to shoot, everything was taken seriously. From understanding emotional beats to knowing exactly why a character feels a certain way, she says that’s what made the audience connect—and honestly, we felt that too!
So, Do People Still Judge Reham For Dancing? Here’s What Reham Has to Say
Oh yeah, all the time. Always.
Reham Rafiq
Since Reham comes from a dance background, and knowing how society often judges dancers, we asked her about the experience. She shared that the judgment is real and constant. People often don’t see dance as an art—they see it differently. Even when her TikTok dance videos went viral, the reaction was mixed. Many don’t understand the skill and dedication behind dancing, so the criticism can feel harsh and unfair.
Reham admitted it does hurt sometimes because deep down, she wants people to accept her and respect her craft—not label it as something vulgar. She knows it takes time for perceptions to change, and maybe acceptance might never fully come. Still, she’s at peace with that because her love for dance and art keeps her going strong, no matter what others say.
