Rumors were flying that the two are also working on a special project, and apparently, this will be their first time together on screen. A Special Project Is In The Works—And The Team Is Absolutely Stellar!
Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali—names we’ve all been familiar with for years. When you hear Mahira, iconic characters like Khirad, Mehreen, Shano, and Saba immediately come to mind. Similarly, Wahaj has given us unforgettable performances as Rumi, Saad, Jimmy, Basim, and many more. For the longest time, fans have been hoping to see them together—maybe in a rom-com? A heartfelt drama? Well, it’s finally happening!
The special project still waits a title though rumour has it that it might be Woh Ek Raat, penned by none other than Farhat Ishtiaq, the mastermind behind swoon-worthy love stories that always come with deeper meanings. Humsafar, Udaari, Yaqeen Ka Safar, currently on-air Meem Se Mohabbat, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum—her storytelling never disappoints! And with Shahzad Kashmiri directing—yes, the same visionary behind Yaqeen Ka Safar, Maat, Parizaad, Neem, and several other hits—expect nothing less than pure cinematic magic. The telefilm is a Momina Duraid production project and is set to air on HUM TV.
Now, what could Woh Ek Raat (pretend title), be about — perhaps a chance meeting that changes everything? Maybe two strangers cross paths one night and their lives take an unexpected turn. Shooting for the project is still underway as we write this and the releasing date is not decided yet. The drama is reportedly being shot at multiple locations, which is why it will be sometime before the creators can call it a wrap!
