If you’ve been following Tamasha, Sahrish Ahmed is one of those contestants whose journey has been impossible to watch without forming an opinion. She came into the house trying to stay away from unnecessary drama, slowly became more comfortable with the chaos around her and, somewhere along the way, learned just how much the Tamasha house can mess with your head.

Now that she’s out, we sat down with Sahrish to talk about everything from the contestants still fighting for the trophy to the very different ways Babrik and Samya play the game.

This article is an excerpt form FUCHSIA Magazine’s YouTube interview.

Sahrish Ahmed On Tamasha’s Final Contestants And The Friendships That Mattered

Now that Sahrish is watching Tamasha from the outside, she has some very clear thoughts about the contestants still in the running. Babrik, she says, is simply having fun now and appears to be on his way to the trophy. Laila, meanwhile, apparently needs that trophy for a very specific reason — a car — and Sahrish is more than happy to advocate for her. Fasi is the young one she sees as being responsible and family-oriented, while Samya, in her view, perhaps wanted recognition and validation more than she needed the actual trophy.

And then there’s Dr Zee, who Sahrish genuinely sees as a winner.

Her reasoning comes from knowing more about him than the audience necessarily gets to see. She spoke about Dr Zee’s difficult childhood and the experiences he has lived through, including losing his mother at a young age and surviving traumatic events. For Sahrish, those experiences give him a perspective that is different from many of the other contestants, and that is why she personally considers him a winner regardless of what happens with the actual trophy.

Esra Ayesha is another contestant Sahrish has a lot of affection for. She describes her as a “lioness” who has no filter and is simply herself. Sahrish believes Esra is genuine and says she would be completely happy to see her win.

Interestingly, Sahrish also admits that the friendships inside Tamasha were not always as straightforward as they looked from the outside. Her own bond with Fasi and Hassan developed because she felt they were genuine people who were not interested in unnecessary drama. She initially worried about getting caught up with too much politics inside the house, but gradually realised that the two of them were simply being themselves.

Her friendship with Hassan also had a lighter side. When she found out he was a rapper, she expected that he would actually rap inside the house, and the two ended up rapping together so much that, after two months, she was understandably a little tired of it.

But the house has a way of turning even genuine friendships into questions.

Sahrish says she began wondering whether Hassan was using her for the game, especially when other people started putting those doubts in her head. The doubts would come, they would disappear the next day, and the friendship would continue. For her, that was one of the biggest lessons of Tamasha Ghar — even when you know someone is genuine, the environment can make you question things you normally would not.

Babrik Vs Samya: Same Game, Completely Different Strategies

If there are two contestants whose strategies Sahrish finds particularly interesting, they are Babrik and Samya. She is clear that both are intelligent and both are playing the game, but she sees a major difference in how they influence people.

Samya, according to Sahrish, does it in a much more dramatic and almost serial-like way. She would put doubts into people’s heads, including Sahrish, Fasi and Hassan, sometimes casually dropping comments and letting those doubts grow. Sahrish remembers finding out from different friends that Samya had said things about them, which naturally made her question why someone she considered a friend was creating unnecessary problems.

Babrik, on the other hand, has a completely different presence. Sahrish describes his approach as more confident and calculated — the kind where he enters a conversation with the attitude that he already knows everything. He does not necessarily need to create a huge scene; he can influence the room simply by sounding completely certain of himself.

“Babrik is way more intelligent than Samya, but both are intelligent in their own way. Strategy is different in manipulation.”

And did Babrik manage to manipulate Sahrish herself? Not really.

She says he tried several times, but she understood what he was doing. In fact, she describes herself as someone who stayed relatively quiet while observing everyone’s games around her. One example she remembers involved a task where the house had to decide who was safe and unsafe. With the entire house seemingly against Babrik at the time, she noticed how he shifted his approach and began getting people to think about the task differently.

Sahrish On Marriage, Career And Why She Is No Longer In A Rush

Away from Tamasha, the conversation took a much more personal turn when we asked Sahrish about something many young women eventually find themselves trying to figure out: where marriage fits into a life that also includes a career and independence.

Sahrish says she was raised in a family where marriage was initially seen as something that should happen early. She was financially taken care of by her family and, growing up, there was never really a pressure for her to work. But after her father passed away, her family gave her the freedom to make her own decisions, and she eventually began acting.

Her own journey of self-healing also changed the way she thought about independence. For Sahrish, being self-sufficient is not about assuming that a marriage will fail. It is about knowing that a woman should still be able to stand on her own if life takes an unexpected turn. She believes a woman should be able to maintain her lifestyle and support herself rather than being completely dependent on her husband. That has also changed her attitude towards marriage itself. She is not against getting married — quite the opposite. She says if she finds the right person, she could even make that decision quickly. But she is equally comfortable waiting if that person does not come along.

Marriage, she believes, requires compromise from both people, whether it is about personalities, careers or simply figuring out how to build a life together.

And while she admits she is a romantic person who would love to make decisions from the heart, she feels people today have become much more calculated when it comes to love. We look at habits, careers, personalities and compatibility before allowing ourselves to simply fall. Perhaps that is not necessarily a bad thing, but Sahrish does seem to miss a little bit of the old-school romance too.

Losing Her Father Changed Sahrish’s Understanding Of Life

One of the most emotional parts of our conversation with Sahrish was when she spoke about her father.

She describes herself as a child her parents had wished and prayed for and says that because her father was older when she was born, their relationship was particularly close. He had spent much of his life in the Merchant Navy and had missed parts of her siblings’ childhoods, but with Sahrish, he was able to be much more present. His death was sudden. She says he had been perfectly fine just a week before, followed his routine, woke up early, slept early and lived a healthy life. Then, suddenly, he was gone.

For Sahrish, the loss was devastating because her father was not just a parent; he was the person she could talk to about everything and the person she knew would always have her back. Her brother eventually stepped into that protective role for her, but she says a mother and father are irreplaceable. She still misses him every day.

The grief also became part of what pushed her towards a period of self-healing. At first, she says she simply did not know what to do or how to feel. Eventually, she started rebuilding her life through small, practical changes rather than expecting herself to suddenly feel okay. She fixed her routine, started waking up earlier, went to yoga and meditation sessions, journaled regularly and made new friends. She also began taking more care of herself, from her health and diet to simple things like getting her hair and nails done. For Sahrish, healing was not one dramatic moment where everything suddenly became better. It was a collection of small things that gradually gave her a sense of routine and purpose again.

And perhaps that explains a lot about the woman we eventually saw inside Tamasha Ghar. She went into the show trying to stay away from toxicity, found friendships she genuinely valued, learned to navigate doubt and manipulation, and came out with an even clearer understanding of herself.
