“Aisa Zehar to Hilmand jaisay saanp ney nahin diya tha”.
So Hilamnd is not Marjan’s son & looking to avenge his father’s death. It’s only the 3rd episode & we are thrown an unexpected twist!
Did Marjaan kill Hilmand’s father & was he Zarsanga’s first husband?
Some Notable Performances

Noman Ejaz is a powerhouse of performance, we do not have words that can do justice in appreciating his talent & craft. But we still want to mention that it was a pleasure to see Marjaan Khan in last night’s episode.

The slap & the manner in which he held Hikmat by his hair was very impactful. We appreciate Noman Ejaz & Zaviyaar for keeping it as real as they could.

Gul Meena & Badam Gul bring comic relief to an intense play. “Ek ghar mein do ainak nahin reh suktay” had us laughing out loud – such an endearing moment.

Atif Aslam as Hilmand is totally ruling the drama. Every time he appears on screen, we are caught in the magic of Hilmand, his wit, his sarcasm, & now, his passion for revenge.
Sang e Mah Sheds Light On Ghag

The drama beautifully shows how the practice of Ghag has ruined & continues to plague the lives of so many women. The utter injustice of the practice is brought home with this truth:
“Dono side per mard hain lekin beech mein aurat hi phansee hai…” as the villager tells Sheherzade about the ghag on her three daughters.

While the naive Gul Meena thinks her Khala might have the upper hand, Mastaan Singh seems to know better & maybe knows Zarghuna is a force that is hard to control or defeat.
