Is Sultan exhibiting bread-crumbing as Gen Z calls it? Telling her he is not interested in her but still sending out signs which might give her hope. What is his real game plan? Or is he just someone suffering from mental health issues?

Asra Keeps Her Self Respect
We are glad that Asra didn’t agree to meet him for lunch after he told her he is not interested in her. But Sultan is Sultan, he manipulated the situation in such a way that she ended up going for lunch with him. Did he just want to check how miserable she feels after his rejection, or did he want to meet her to mislead her and keep her hooked without really committing. The way he cared for her at the lunch surely showed that. But seeing a “not-desperate” girl after rejection in love is definitely refreshing.
Asra’s relationship with her nephew and brother is just heart-winning. It is good to show that girls must be supported and heard at home, they must not be judged for their actions. Her brother not only finds out what is bothering her but is there to listen to her in detail. Not just that, he trusts her and believes that she must not have done anything wrong. He didn’t react like a typical brother, exclaiming how she could admit her love to someone just like that.
Mysterious Sultan
Sultan’s behaviour is a mystery. Initially it seemed like he was just playing hard to get. But now that Asra has confessed her love, he is still not accepting his interest in her. Does he want the property? He is pretending to be completely uninterested in her so that when he makes a move for the property and business, they do not suspect anything?
Does he want to mentally cripple her in his love because he is a control freak? Or is he taking his childhood trauma revenge from her?
The sari scene showed how girls can be manipulated easily. Just the fact that he took her to the boutique without asking her, should be alarming for Asra, given he is not romantically involved with her yet and is merely her sister’s brother. But sadly many times, girls take such incidents of control as gestures of love.
