“Meine wohi kiya jo sub karte aaye hain, mein chup rahi”
Srha Asgr as Fajar gave a touching performance as she appeared in court to record her evidence. It was heartening to see that the narrative kept hope alive by showing that victims can receive justice & criminals like Zafar cannot escape the law forever.

Notable Points
As we draw the curtains on Aakhir Kab Tak, let’s talk about a few significant takeaways from the drama.
Communication with our family & friends is key to making sure we always have someone we can talk to.

If someone tells you to stay quiet on an issue, rest assured it will not go away. In fact, it will become bigger & more terrifying as that someone will exploit your silence, confident in the knowledge that you’ll never speak up.
What We Can Do
We, as a society need to listen to those around us. They might not speak with their words, but their body language & expressions can communicate so much more. Try to be aware of slight changes in behaviour – the reasons can range from a minor mishap to a bigger problem. All they need is for you to be there & support them.

Encouraging, loving comments can change the way people perceive themselves & the world around them. Don’t hesitate to reach out to a grownup you trust if you ever sense there is a problem with your friend, or family member. We can help the Fajar’s of this world become confident, self assured individuals who are not afraid of speaking up – Just like Noor.

A word of appreciation for the entire team of Aakhir Kab Tak for giving us splendid performances, and writer-director team Radain Shah & Syed Ali Raza Usama for taking on a sensitive theme & touching upon multiple issues that are latent in our society – marital relationships, upbringing, harassment, working women, and most importantly, respect of a mother, wife & daughter within her own household.

The drama spoke to the youth & resonated with many who watched, nodding their heads in agreement & uttering under their breath, “kay, unfortunately, aisa hi hota hai.”
Let this “aisa hi hota hai” transform into “aisa kabhi nahi hoga” – start speaking up, and start listening.
AKT was a thought provoking drama and wake up call for all. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew for the success of the drama. Hope to see them all back on screen too!
