Women of all ages never fail to surprise us with the immense talent they embody, just waiting to be expressed when the right opportunity presents itself. And this time, we’ve come across a 12 year old ambitious girl who loves to ski.
Pakistan’s Malam Jabba resorts is home to a young, ambitious girl, Azra. Her story is so inspiring, that it shows us we can do virtually anything if we just put our minds to it.
Azra and her brother Hamza spent their days selling boiled eggs to tourists at Malam Jabba’s Ski Resort.
Despite being hearing and speech impaired, Azra was very keen to learn how to ski. Her brother was there to lift her up and support her, and even though they had limited finances, Hamza conjured up a pair of makeshift ski pedals and boards made of wood just so that his sister could practice.
Well, you know what happened next?
Azra is now one of the most talented skiers at her skiing school, where she is said to be a quick learner. Her coach is certain she can and will win the skiing tournaments held later in this year, and is astounded that a young girl, who can neither hear, nor speak, can adopt a new sport with such skill and ease.
Azra is set out to make Pakistan proud, and we support her to the fullest!
