Tehseen Wajahat shared his thoughts on the societal pressures faced by single men, particularly in gatherings where most of his peers are married with families. He noted that while he is accustomed to being around family and friends, the reality of attending events where everyone else has a spouse and children can be a bit isolating.
Comparatively, for both, it’s the same phase. But for women, it’s a little more.

He pointed out that while both men and women experience societal expectations, women often face more significant challenges in this regard. Tehseen Wajahat shared details about his rich familial connection to music and poetry, revealing his home was filled with the melodies of legends like Farida Khanum, Salamat Ali Khan, Ghulam Ali Sahib, and Mehdi Hasan. These icons were a part of his grandfather’s circle, creating an atmosphere deeply rooted in artistic tradition.

He mentioned his grandfather, Muhammad Adam Chishti Rehmatullah, a renowned Naat writer and reciter with an extraordinary command of Persian. His grandfather not only penned numerous Naats but also introduced Naat recitation to PTV and Radio Pakistan, leaving an indelible mark on the art form.
Tehseen mentioned that while he has recited Naats on PTV, his passion lay in live gatherings where he carried forward the tradition. This familial influence, he explained, shaped his connection to the cultural and spiritual richness of his heritage.

Tehseen Wajahat shared the story of how he landed the role of Halal Pasha in Fairytale and how the character evolved over time. Initially, when the project came his way, his close friend Ali Hassan, a long-time collaborator, introduced him to the opportunity. Upon arriving in Karachi, Ali was surprised by Tehseen’s transformation, noting his weight loss and sharper look, which ended up shaping the visual and narrative development of his character.
Tehseen revealed that the initial concept for Halal Pasha underwent significant changes. Once he received his first look, his lines and character direction were rewritten. The character evolved into the wise and understanding uncle of the household, someone deeply connected with the younger members of the family. Halal Pasha became the go-to figure who helped the children navigate their challenges and offered a guiding hand.
Tehseen expressed immense joy in playing Halal Pasha, describing the role as one he truly enjoyed and embraced wholeheartedly. The character’s evolution and his personal involvement in its portrayal made the experience even more special.
