Is Murtasim Playing A Double Game?
Does Murtasim really want to make amends with Meerab or is it a strategy to defeat her against her own plan to stay away from him? Murtasim is not coming slow as he throws one dialogue after another to keep Meerab on her feet. We are not complaining though. Murtasim proved his loyalty towards Meerab by eating the fish even though he was allergic to it. Maybe that will be the turning point for Meerab’s feelings towards him.
Weapons Onscreen – Again!
The gun in Murtasim’s hand, do you think this gesture has been used in an irresponsible manner? The revolver in Murtasim’s hand as he walks toward Meerab and then lays his hand across her on the wooden banister, does it symbolize power… a glimpse of his dominant side maybe?
Frustrated Much Or Are We Misreading The Dialogues?
Meerab: Bohat muza aa reha hai
Murtasim: Meree aisee kismet kahan…Keh bhi nahin sukta, seh bhi nahin sukta…
The script has many double meaning dialogues like this one. Is it really that Murtasim desperately wants to establish a husband-and-wife physical relationship with Meerab? Meerab exploits Murtasim’s weakness about not being able to see her cry in a clever, yet subtle, emotional manner with her dialogue: “Shayad rona bhi aa jaye” when she tells him that she has cooked the food herself.
Meerab vs Her Parents
It was not Meerab’s rudeness that she doesn’t say goodbye to her foster parents, in fact, it was most probably her deep desire or wish that her parents would have come to say goodbye to her, for her to still feel she was wanted by them. She is still showing some nakhra…
But What Does Meerab Want Really?
Looks like Ma Begum has risen to the challenge and actually handing over the household responsibilities to Meerab. Can this be an opportunity for Meerab to actually change things? We don’t understand what she really wants. Or does she believe that by taking on these responsibilities, she will be giving into their desires and plans?
Meerab is playing dangerously. Her dialogues to Haya “Mein khud tumhain yeh juga day doon gi” can come back to haunt her later on.
Continuity Issues Like The Following Keep Haunting The Drama.
- The revolver was without cover in Murtasim’s hand one moment but then when he stood before Meerab, the gun had a cover.
- Murtasim didn’t have any bed cover or duvet when he was sick or even threw up… so the maid carrying the entire bed cover was a bit unrealistic.
