KDSP – A Down Syndrome Organisation successfully hosted the 11th Annual KDSP Carnival at Moin Khan Academy, Phase 8 DHA, commemorating World Down Syndrome Day.

Held each year, the carnival serves as a vibrant celebration recognizing individuals with Down syndrome as equal and active members of society. Over the years, it has evolved into a space of inclusion and acceptance for all.
The event opened its gates to the public at 3:00 PM, drawing an overwhelming number of attendees. Designed to cater to individuals of all ages and abilities, the carnival was a spectacular display of thoughtfully curated activities, ensuring full participation and enjoyment for all. Attendees indulged in a vast array of food pop-ups and craft stalls, while activity spaces remained bustling with enthusiastic children and adults alike. Government official Tuaha Farooqui, Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), also joined the event and commemorated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This year, KDSP carefully curated an experience that engaged all age groups, featuring:
● A dedicated activity area by TDF Magnifiscience, showcasing their interactive exhibit on scientific
principles titled ‘Minds at Work’
● Academia Civitas enclosure
● ZVMG Rangoonwala Trust’s arts and crafts stalls
● Teddy Tennis and Teddy Soccer
● Clay pottery, paddle pool, VR gaming, and Merry Go Round
● GoRead’s storytelling session and Marching Pipe Bank, encouraging children to explore new
worlds and performances
● Karachi Drum Circle performing sound therapy
● A thrilling science show by Science Fuse
● Not to forget, the beloved Bobble World characters, who kept audiences captivated;
● And so many more!
The event was hosted by Mr. Faizan Haqquee, whose boundless energy and charisma kept the crowd entertained from start to finish. Visitors also had the chance to engage with notable celebrities and dedicated advocates of KDSP. The day concluded on a high note, with children and adults alike taking to the stage area—dancing, laughing, and celebrating to the rhythm of joy.
