Drama Dialogues can either be hugely thought provoking or unrealistically complicated! This Drama Season, we have been blessed with some stellar productions. Prime time TV in Pakistan is heating up and even those who had sworn off Pakistani dramas are part of the Alif, Meray Paas Tum Ho, Ehd-e-Wafa and yeh Dil Mera brigade.

Pakistani Dramas, ALif, Ehdewafa, Mere Paas Tum Ho

Drama dialogues have some super sharp scripting this season, and we give you 6 dialogues that really touched our hearts, andar se!!

1. Momina at her brother’s grave in Alif

Toppers from none other than Alif. Momina delivers it with such intensity that we have to say we shed a few tears with her. Any one who has lost someone in their lives would identify with her words. Umera Ahmed – you really scored a winner with this one!

“Dil ab bhi nahi maanta ke tum Nahi ho. Aisa lagta hai jaise meri zindgi ka maqsad khatam ho gaya hai, laikin abb, choro. Acha ye batao, America se kia laun tumharay liye. Hmm? Tum hotay toh kehte Oscar.“

2. Saad scores in Ehd-e-Wafa

When jazbaat take over and army cadets want to make their instructor proud. The jazba to prove themselves is high and to not let down a leader they respect and love. The adrenaline kicks in and emotions soar. How many of you have felt that you CAN do it – even if the odds are against you?

“Jeetne ke liye aik raat hi kaafi hai. Haarne ke liye toh puri zindgi parhi hai.”

3. When Saad’s dialogues inspire Gulzar

“Samajh nahin aya – lekin jis pressure se baat ki, koi kaam ki baat hai!” Jee Haaan! We’ve all been there. And we all feel inspired because the drama dialogue has so much dum, keh, samajh mein aaye ya na aaye, we feel motivated to act! Saad’s words had a similar effect on Gulzar!

“Ye baat kar ke tumne mere murda zameer ko jaga diya hai. Samajh toh nahi ayi hai mujhe laikin Tu ne jis pressure se baat ki hai, mujhe lag raha hai koi kaam.ki baat ki hai. Mein tere Saath hoon.“

4. The School Principal in Meray Paas Tum Ho

When the zaalim(a) gets what she deserves, and viewers go yesss! in their hearts – “Ab pata chala na!” Many felt this way about Mehwish and it was as if the school principal had reached out and snatched the very dialogues from within our hearts…If you’ve been unfortunate enough to be at the receiving end of a situation where relationships have been pulled apart, or a home broken, you know what she’s talking about. In her words lies wisdom and experience – what was that saying again? Allah Mian ki lathi mein aawaaz nahin hoti …

“Aur yahan se Hoti hai ghar tornay ki saza”

5. When Faisal shouts out gender discrimination in Alif

When Umera Ahmed decided to write Alif, she sure wanted to challenge the norms. Faisal is the stereotypical mard who doesn’t want his wife to work in showbiz because it’s ‘wrong’. Despite his youth, his values are still cobwebbed in typical mysoginistic thinking and wow – did that shock Momina! Let’s see how far this thinking will take him in the next episode!

“Tum haath nahi, chehra aur jism dikha kar kamati ho”

6. When Dada poses a challenge for Qalb-e-Momin

The shart is about making a movie that truly touches the soul. Dada’s sharp dialogues, lucid thoughts and self-assured stance have Qalb-e-Momin stumped. Will he be able to complete the task set him or will he fail miserably? The ball is in his court now, and we can’t wait to see what happens next?

“Agar tum jeet gaye toh mein calligraphy chor dunga, aur agar mein jeet Gaya tum film banani chor do ge, aur yahan aa kar calligraphy shuru kardge”
