The new DC movie, The Blue Beetle came out yesterday and Twitter’s verdict is in! Take a quick look to decide if you want to watch it or not!
The Blue Beetle was a gem the DC universe was hiding and now that it has released, watchers can not stop raving about it. The movie happens to be portraying the DCU’s first Latino superhero and representation is ticking all the boxes. Twitter audiences say it includes some eye-catching visuals, a heart warming family story and amazing action sequences.
The movie is directed by Angel Manuel Soto and written by Gareth Dunnrt-Alcocer. The new DC watch stars Xolo Mariduena as Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes with Bruna Marquezine, Adriana Barraza, Damian Alcazar, Raoul Max Trujillo, Susan Sarandon and George Lopez.
Though unfortunately due to the SAG-AFTRA strike the actors weren’t able to promote the movie.
Synopsis
The story line focuses on Jaime Reyes who suddenly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien or extraterrestrial biotechnology called the Scarab. When the Scarab chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, Jaime receives an incredible suit of armor that unlocks extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing Jamie’s destiny as he becomes the superhero “Blue Beetle”

#BlueBeetle is an absolute gem. A family-driven story that pulls at the heartstrings, some gorgeous visuals and clever direction, with some engaging action to top it off. Can’t wait to see more of Maridueña as Jaime and the Reyes family. The #BlueBeetleBattalion stays winning!

They Spent So Much On The Flash When They Had The Blue Beetle In Their Pocket
Legit wild that WB spent so much of their marketing efforts and celebrity promos on The Flash when they had #BlueBeetle in pocket. Should’ve had fast food tie-ins and a music inspired by the motion picture album. Should’ve had taco trucks. Should’ve sent it to Tom Cruise.
Xolo Mariduena Perfect As Jamie Reyes & His Return In The DCU Has Us Excited
Xolo Maridueña was truly PERFECTLY cast as Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle and I’m so damn HAPPY that his story isn’t even close to being over and we’re gonna see his return immediately in the DCU

WOWZERS!! #BlueBeetle is this year’s best DCEU film. With a heart of gold and themes of family, leadership, and culture – it DELIVERS. The Latino culture is well embedded into this exciting, action packed ride. Xolo and George Lopez are incredible and the family dynamic ROCKS!
