Nostalgia? Check. Drama? Check. Miranda being Miranda? Obviously. But does it actually deliver or is it just riding on 20 years of goodwill? Let’s talk The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Twenty years later and Miranda Priestly still walks into a room like she owns the air in it. The final trailer for Devil Wears Prada 2 just dropped and it has everything we needed to see before May 1.
First — that Miranda and Andy dynamic? Still razor sharp. The coldness, the power games, the glances that say more than words ever could. Miranda telling Andy she did not hire her personally and that she just needs to bide her time until she fails — same Miranda, zero warmth, and we are obsessed.
But here is what makes this one more interesting than just a nostalgic trip. Miranda Priestly is no longer untouchable. The print industry is dying, Runway is caught in a scandal, and for the first time we see the most powerful woman in fashion actually vulnerable. That is a version of Miranda we have never seen before and it is genuinely compelling.
Then there is Emily — no longer the assistant, but now the head of a luxury brand whose advertising money could literally save Runway. The power shift between her and Miranda is going to be everything.
The fashion looks stunning, the cast is stacked, and Lady Gaga and Doechii just dropped an original song called Runway for the soundtrack which is already living in our heads.
So tell us — are you excited or does the trailer feel like it is playing it too safe?
