Here’s your breezy recap on the Pakistani dramas of the week that was: Gentleman, Jaan e Jahan, Zard Patton Ka Bunn and others figured heavily on the drama canvas, and here’s why.

If you’re here for a quick update on your weekly drama watch, that’s what you’ll get. So without further ado, let’s get started…on the week in dramas!
Zard Patton Ka Bunn
If it’s Kashf Foundation, you know you can’t take things lightly. But this week, it was all about conversations.
Meenu’s conversation with her friend about how educated mothers can contribute to a well-brought up generation. “Parh likh kar naslen banani hain, (Atom bomb nahi). If my mother was educated, she would have brought up my brothers better so they wouldn’t stand in the way of my education!” Wow, Meenu, we’re on the same page.
Gentleman
Love struck Rehmati and Iqbal Munna need to watch their backs!
While watching Iqbal Munna and Zarnab onscreen was a winning moment, Love ki sui YouTube ki x2 speed pe tau nahi chal rahi? Iqbal Munna in love with Zarnab was a cute watch but now that Rehmati has also joined the love watch, it’s a love triangle that’s not really tying up. Coz remember, Zarnab is in love with Faris…so far! We’re on the fence whether Gentleman is about to dive deep into the heartland of Korangi dhai or Zarnab’s heart – both drama plots are going parallel, though Zarnab’s is coming out stronger for now.
But Rehmati and Munna have hope as the plot thickens – Faris seems to be more interested in retaining his job than Zarnab’s activism. Who will she go for eventually?
Pas e Deewar
Pas e Deewar sets itself apart from the rest with intense story-telling and fast-paced action. What happens next is anybody’s guess!
Shabbir just lost all hope in our eyes as he played Ujala. The plot thickens as Maqbool sets up his own sister and our heart is racing already, for how Iftikhar will take this one. The drama gets brownie points for the scene where Ujala escapes Hamid’s advances, an intense watch that one and well-executed. Also, the evil wrath of Hashim juxtaposed against the calm, yet wicked planning of Shabbir is an intriguing watch.
Jaan e Jahan
Oh Jaan e Jahan! The emotions are real.
Shehraam not only has Mahnoor’s heart but over half (if not all) of those watching. Not only is he sending out hero goals, but has finally reunited with his beloved over chooriyan. We hope the dias are not far behind. The simple yet heartening elements that symbolize Mahnoor & Shehraam’s bond are pure love. But a shout out to Tabraiz who had our heart despite his evil scheming – a tragic fate indeed.
But the question on our mind, will Aliya and Abdul tie up their incomplete love story or is it all about friend-zoning here? You tell us. Heartbreak in dramas can be quite a tough moment, especially when it’s the last episode.
Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet
Farhaad, the pain of an only son, we feel you!
While Farhaad and Freeya grow apart, their journey must walk this course if it is to come out on the other side. However, it was painful to watch Farhaad’s regrets on a conversation he never had with his father. Even more painful were his torn emotions between his mother, his wife and his job – the mental torture he undergoes is so palpable, it had us in tears.
It is only when we set it against Kiran’s silent battle that we feel, hers is a journey that must culminate in some form of triumph. Kiran now holds the key to her father’s Pakwan and we wait to see this realization empower her rather than buckling under Shahzain’s pressure. Stand up Kiran, your family needs you. But more than that, all the girls, who might have been there, are watching you. You need to help yourself first, before others help you. Speak up now please. The drama is into its 25th episode, you’re losing precious time!
Jaan Se Pyara Juni
Juni and Mina’s relationship is so much fun to watch …
Perhaps just as much fun as Husn Ara’s and Mina’s interactions. Mina is the girl who doesn’t mince words, or thoughts. She says it as it is, haazir jawaab is her middle name. But she’s also pure and honest in her thoughts, which is what sets her apart from our regular heroines. Her frustration with Juni for letting things slide with his sister and Husn Ara made so much sense. Mina’s quick comebacks with Husn Ara also kept it interesting. Jaan Se Pyara Juni is turning out to be quite the surprise in a box.
We’re watching because the characters and dialogues are anything but typical, and the direction is superb!
And that’s it folks. tell us what you think of our week in dramas and which drama did you miss in our weekly roundup? We’re open to your suggestions, well, maybe? Try us and find out next week on the “week in dramas”!
