Hair fall is a menace. The lingering strands of hair on the floor, in your hair brush & shower have made me look up multiple hair fall remedies online. I’ve taken on prescriptions from helpful aunties… onion juice, expensive over the counter serums, DIY tips, you name it, I’ve been there.

This remedy however, sounded like one last attempt I would take on. Well, because, … there’s nothing to lose other than my hair (which I’m losing already) … get the gist?
Okay, the real reason I took this remedy was because I’m an ‘essential oil stocker’ and I have plenty I use all year round for the common cold, the chesty cough, relaxation, mild cuts & bruises, you name it. So essential oils to remedy hair fall just fell right into my comfort zone!
These are the 3 that worked well & I felt a noticeable reduction in hair fall right after the first application.
So hold on tight folks (to your hair of course) as I reveal all!
You Will Need

- Tea tree oil
- Peppermint oil
- Lavender oil
- Coconut oil (carrier oil) or just use regular Coconut oil slightly warmed to keep it runny.
If you don’t use essential oils regularly I would suggest buying just one or two of the above to begin with and you can see how they work for you.
How to use them

- Take 2 to 3 tsp of carrier oil (Coconut) or regular coconut oil warmed up slightly. Add in 2 to 3 drops each of all 3 oils above. Mix well and give yourself a soothing massage.
- Leave in for 15 to 20 minutes. I slept with mine overnight, but you don’t have to.
- Rinse off with warm water after 15 minutes and use your regular shampoo & conditioner after.
How It Works

The Lavender emits a well, pleasant Lavender aroma as well as containing anti-microbial properties, cleansing & soothing the scalp.

Tea tree oil contains anti bacterial properties, heals breakouts, removes dirt & clears dandruff.
The Peppermint will feel super cooling to your scalp. It also helps cleanse & open clogged pores, improving scalp health by removing build up & strengthening hair follicle health.
Pro Tip

Many users advise adding 2 to 3 drops of essential oil to your shampoo & conditioner on a regular basis and washing your hair with the blend.
Go ahead and give it a try. I did, and I’ll be adding this to my regular hair care routine.
Hair fall might just not be such a menace anymore!
