12-year-old Azra got a second chance at education when digital learning was made accessible to her by Team Taleem – A program by TeeSquare. Now, a young girl who had discontinued her education and lost all hope wants to become a doctor and heal people around her. A student of The Social Bond School, Azra can now count numbers, read English and Urdu letters, and has learned several new words!

What Team Taleem Is All About
What does Team Taleem really do? Team Taleem is a program by TeeSquare which aims at making interactive & independent digital learning accessible to all. It provides early education ranging from KG to class 2 over the course of 36 weeks. A gamified digital application is pre-installed on a tablet through which students can learn via guided tutorials, videos, and interactive workbooks of Urdu, English, and Maths.
In a country like Pakistan where the literacy rate is low, Team Taleem is nothing less than a ray of hope. There are several contributing factors that push the literacy rate down, be it inaccessibility, lack of awareness, financial constraints, etc, and very few solutions to target these problems. Thus, this program by TeeSquare is an exception. It is making learning both inclusive and affordable for out-of-school children and adults.
How It Operates
TeeSquare essentially works with community schools and sponsors that buy their subscription i.e their learning kits and distribute them among their students and learners.
Let’s Fight Illiteracy This Independence Day

On this independence day, let’s commit to make a difference by participating in TeeSquare’s ‘Soarto100 Campaign.’
“We at TeeSquare aim to democratize education via technology and give every learner a fair chance to education as we strongly believe education is a right and not a privilege. Through this campaign, we aim to provide education to 100 learners deprived of basic literacy by means of our digital learning platform, Team Taleem.”

Beyond The App
Team Taleem is more than just an app, learners are provided with ‘learning kits’ that include a tablet, headphones, stylus, a charger, and other accessories needed for digital self-learning.
Not only is the app interactive, but it is also easy to use and caters to every age group. Its interactive workbooks which are both unique and graphically rich, talk to students/learners in Urdu to engage them and provide feedback and rewards adding to their encouragement and motivation. All the assessments are completed on the tablet in even the remotest parts of the country as it does not require an active internet connection.
Additionally, the app keeps a track of a learner’s progress and weekly and monthly progress reports are shared within the app in the form of both, making it easier for teachers, guardians and/or supervisors to monitor their student’s progress. Watch the video below for an in-depth understanding of how the Team Taleem app works.

Recent Update
FUCHSIA participated in an initiative with Tee Square last year, and we are delighted and proud to witness the significant strides it has taken since then. This effort has not only progressed but has also created a ripple effect in leaps and bounds.
We are excited to announce that TeeSquare and Unilever have joined forces to make a model village literate. Fifty mothers from Unilever model village in Thatta will gain functional literacy in English, Urdu, and Maths in just one year through TeeSquare’s digital literacy platform, Team Taleem.
Engaging with organizations and various NGOs, TeeSquare has consistently worked towards making a positive difference. Their involvement includes donating tablets to underprivileged communities. These tablets serve as educational tools, reaching children and mothers who may lack basic literacy skills. The initiative aims to empower them with knowledge, allowing them to understand and support their children’s educational journey more effectively.
In pursuit of this noble cause, founder Tee Square Zainab Hameed made the decision to exit corporate life and dedicate her efforts towards a much needed initiative. The journey thus far has been remarkably successful. The dedication and impact of TeeSquare’s initiatives reflect a commitment to fostering education and making a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
The Thatta Model Village collaboration effort with Unilever is the 16th Learning Centre organised by Team Taleem from TeeSquare and the team is confident they will be able to achieve a possible result as “learning outcomes have been amazing.” To quote the founder.
These learning kits aren’t limited to just one learner, in fact, multiple users can benefit from Team Taleem’s offline content. For more details, you can visit TeeSquare’s official website by clicking here.
