The best place to be right now is TikTok and with FUCHSIA’s ‘TikTok 101’ you’ll always be on top of trends and hacks! Today we’re bringing you three DIY hair masks, courtesy of TikTok, that will help you tame your frizzy locks and fight hair loss. Read on to find out how!

1) DIY Olaplex Dupe!
We’re no strangers to Olaplex and how it can repair broken bonds in the hair and help rejuvinate it. Unfortunately, Olaplex is still on the pricier end of hair care treatments. However, with this quick DIY hair mask, you can achieve all the benefits of Olaplex without spending a pretty penny. The DIY calls for flax seeds and boiling them in water- the more chia seeds you add the thicker the consistency of the “gel” will be. Not only is this a cheaper more natural alternative to Olaplex, but it’ll also help improve the elasticity and texture of your hair, preventing it from further damage. The best part is that you can even store the gel in your fridge for up to a week!
@mypawfectfamily You can store it in the fridge for about a week:) #olaplexdupe #hairhacks #thickhairtips #diyhairtreatment ♬ Homie hopper – trap ?
2) The Miracles Of Fermented Rice Water
This TikTok DIY calls for washing 1 cup of rice and soaking it in 3 cups of water. Next, you strain the water and store it for 24-48 hours. When it’s time to wash your hair, take the fermented rice water and mix it with equal parts water and a few drops of Rosemary oil and apply generously from root to tip, massage and then rinse. Doing this twice a week for 15 minutes will help thicken your hair and make it shinier!

3) It Doesn’t Get Easier Than Aloe Vera Gel
Just applying Aloe Vera gel to your hair, ideally diluted with water, can make your hair thicker and reduce hair fall. You can add in apple cider vinegar (to cleanse) or castor oil ( to hydrate) to your Aloe mask to amplify the results. According to WebMD, ‘Aloe vera contains vitamins A, C, and E. All three of these vitamins contribute to cell turnover, promoting healthy cell growth and shiny hair. Vitamin B12 and folic acid are also contained in aloe vera gel. Both of these components can keep your hair from falling out’. This is definitely a mask you need to try ASAP!
