We tried the new, bustling hot pot spot in town, and here’s what will make you want to try it out too.

What, just because winters have bid farewell doesn’t mean our love for hotpot goes away. We could enjoy hotpot any day of the year! Especially when we’re being introduced to new, elevated, serene hotpot locations.
Did you hear there’s a new, upgraded hotpot spot in town? It’s bigger, grander, and promising an unforgettable experience. Uchhi Hotpot is offering us the ultimate outdoor hotpot experience. The best part, which just makes life for hotpot lovers so easy, is that it’s available for dine-in, takeaway, and catering! It’s open 7 days a week from 6 pm to 12 am, truly the best times to experience hotpot in Karachi. It is located in Mohammad Ali Society, in Karachi.
Uchhi’s Vibe & Ambience
At first glance, the ambiance and location are absolutely charming. It’s inviting, warm, and cozy, yet open-air, with what our team members described as an open under-the-sky-lit experience giving off very earthy vibes. Tables are set up in a beautiful tent with cane furniture and all earthy tones. There are plenty of aesthetically pleasing arrangements with sofas, benches, and high-top seating available for large groups, families, and friends, making the entire experience even more joyous.
The ambiance created a delightful experience. However, the only downside was the presence of an excessive number of mosquitoes in the air. Despite this inconvenience, the staff made an effort to mitigate the issue by providing mats to help guests enjoy their experience more comfortably.
What Team FUCHSIA Tried:
Chicken dumplings – The chicken dumplings did not disappoint; they were flavorful but not overly spicy. They were expertly prepared, and the dipping sauce added an extra layer of flavor. The dipping sauce was chili oil-based, but definitely not ordinary.
Mongolian broth: The Mongolian broth was undeniably spicy, and we believe that desi food enthusiasts would appreciate its flavors reminiscent of our own cuisine, making it a delightful fusion.
Our protein options and vegetables: We thoroughly enjoyed the sausages we selected for our protein option; they didn’t taste like the lackluster frozen sausages, but rather seemed freshly made. For vegetables, we opted for mushrooms and corn, although we were slightly disappointed by the corn’s lack of freshness.
Service & Pricing
The service standards were satisfactory; the servers were accommodating and consistently checked in to ensure everything met our satisfaction. The prices are quite competitive compared to other hotpot locations in Karachi.
They offer everything from Mongolian hot pot to clear broth, along with a variety of dipping sauces such as peanut-based and Korean sesame sauce, as well as egg noodles and instant noodles. They also provide an assortment of vegetables, proteins, and dumplings.
Abundant Beverage Options:
If you’re craving something sweet to balance out the spiciness of the hotpot (which we certainly were), they also offer delicious drinks such as mint mojitos, strawberry, Pina colada, iced teas, and juices.
Would We Go Again?
We would for the dumplings, ambience and if ever we are craving a desi flavored hotpot!
