Urwa Hocane is all set to grace our screens in the upcoming drama, Meri Shehzadi, penned by the renowned writer, well known for Pyaar ke Sadqay, Zanjabeel Asim Shah. The serial is directed by Mere Humsafar’s director, Qasim Ali Mureed under the banner of Momina Duraid Production.
The two teasers released so far point to a dramatic storyline filled with political intrigue, suspense, and a story soaked in romantic tragedy. Ali Rehman Khan and Urwa’s character seem to tie the knot and apparently there is a child involved from a first marriage. Not just that, past relationships plague the marriage too. A remake of the late Princess Diana’s life story? The makers hint at a royal family-like intrigue and audiences will now have to wait to see how the story unfolds!
Meri Shehzadi is said to have all the glimpses of love, anguish and tragedy. The serial aims to capture the memories of Lady Diana embodied in the main character of Dania (Urwa Hocane) from her growing years to where tragedy struck in the house of royalty.
Meri Shehzadi has introduced us to Urwa Hocane’s character, who can be seen as a political leader, a philanthropist, survivor and a princess of hearts. Lurking in the shadows is Sonia Mishal’s character – the other woman? How will the story play out? Will it end in inevitable tragedy as the real life story or do the makers have a twist for Pakistani drama audiences?
