From the looks of it, Sara Aapi is all about a controlling matriarch who rules with an iron hand – She reigns over the household as the elder sister of three brothers whom she has raised single-handedly. The drama boasts a stellar cast but will the story deliver another senstational narrative or something more? Read on for the first two episodes review.

Sara Aapi is about a sister and three brothers whom she has raised all alone. Savera Nadeem essays the role of the matriarch who rules with a tight fist. Burhan, Adnan and Usman regard her with great respect and obedience, but the question is, will they continue to give her wishes the same regard when they gradually settle down in their life with their own families?
At the outset, Sara Aapi seems to come off as a narrative we’ve seen before, especially in the drama Noor Jahan which was not only dramatic but caught audience engagement as the characters and their life stories had audiences invested. One would like to think Sara aapi has something new to offer. From what the first two episodes reveal, one can say that the story is quite fast paced with Burhan’s secret marriage with Hania already out in the open. Usman involved with Hamna and Narmeen possibly taking a liking to Adnan (not Burhan) in a sharp twist of fate.
Sara Aapi delivers wide frame lens, offering an engaging viewing experience, as well as promising impactful performances with a talented cast. Hania and Burhan’s secret marriage has been revealed to Sara Aapi who was planning Burhan marry Narmeen, a seemingly sub, issive, traditional girl. However, Narmeen seems to have mistaken Adnan for her proposal and is already secretly crushing over him – sounds like your typical sensational storyline? Well, perhaps it is, but we’re hoping the story digs deeper.
Hania cautioning Burhan that he cannot destroy another girl’s life was a positive message we hope to see more of in the drama, and will help set it apart from the everyday predictable stories onscreen.
Sara Aapi has set up a business with a chain of superstores with each brother possibly overlooking one branch or store. Unbeknownst to her, Usman, the youngest, is also in a realtionship with a girl – Hamna. So her family is not as in control as Sara Aapi assumes. Fior now, she’s dealing with Burhan’s marriage and we’re hoping she doesn;t play the typical toxic card of demanding Hania to divorce or ask for khula from Burhan. What will Burhan do if sara Aapi threatens to oust him from teh business if he does not comply? The drama is set to instigate quite a bit of drama.
All theree brothers seem to have distinct personalities – Usman seems to be the most rebellious and Adnan possibly the most in line with his sister’s wishes. It would be interesting to see why Sara Aapi never married herself and wherther the drama will flip the script to show a possible love interest for Sara Aapi.
Attention to detail in showcasing the stores front with Sara’s name on it and the interior of the grocery stores too added greatly to the storytelling. For now, Sara Aapi is set up to give audiences an intriguinging storyline and we hope it surprises us by offering up something new, a narrative that pushes the envelope and not just a repackaging of the same old.
